Things are too far gone, the issues are too important, the people too divded.
Is there any reason not to go ahead and start drawing up lines to split into two separate nations with freedom of travel, commerce, and a defensive alliance?

Why does California want to make the rules for Alabama and expect them not to care? Imagine the complete and utter ensuing panic and melt down if Alabama made rules for California.
