As the new year approaches, its time for teachers to go back a little earlier than students and learn things that will help them become better teachers.

Hamilton County Schools regrets that there have been misinterpretations of a presentation today to Opportunity Zone Learning Community teachers. The presentation was actually about how adverse childhood experiences can impact behavior in the classroom and methods to have effective classroom management.
Slides from a presentation by guest speaker Robert Jackson, a former NFL player and teacher, given today to teachers at the annual Urban Education Institute have been taken out of context and misrepresented in Facebook posts. The slides are being misrepresented as a presentation on white privilege. For the slides in question, the speaker was reviewing terms that can impact perception and definitions attached to the terms when the slides were used. White Privilege was one of several terms on slides during the short part of the presentation.
The district will put additional safeguards in place for external presenters to ensure there is less potential of misinterpretation of the content shared in the future.

I am so, so tired of this garbage. When will this nation realize that race is not the defining characteristic of people - no matter their color. So many people of all races are so talented and have so much to offer, but have been indoctrinated by leftist politicians and the media to the point they think race is the ONLY thing that matters.

This is taught over and over to students in public school as well, they don’t even question if it is true. If you attempt to disagree or speak up at a trading session as an adult or in school as a child, they will ruin you.
I honestly wish I had the courage to speak my mind in such situations but I would literally be ruined. I can’t do that to my family.

If they want us to believe that b.s. explanation, perhaps they could release the entire presentation.
The problem is those slides accurately reflect the dominant attitude of educators regarding who racists are. My wife is a teacher and this discussion has been a hot topic in my home for years.

I’ve stated it before many times.
But 10 years ago when I was at OM I had a social psychology class that was taught by a LGBTQ activist that had been blacklisted by multiple countries and she loved stating that. And by a 300 pound bi Buddhist black chick that taught us over and over that there was a formula for racism.
And any people that is minority to another CANNOT be racist towards that other race because they didn’t hold enough power.
Holy shite some of the arguments that happened in that class.
