Yeah somewhere between shooting him and letting him run off into the night with a police issued taser.

And honestly I’m not sure if there is a surefire way to completely prevent things like this from happening.

Cops are humans, and this is a split second decision.

And he didn't hit anyone. so the guy is alive we've found?

or did the cops fire at a suspect in the back until he was dead?

The suspect who started a fight with the cops, stole their taser, ran away and then shot at them with said stolen taser? That suspect that was shot in the back until dead? Yeah... they did. They should have.

That's the sad part. He didn't have to grow up to be stupid. Someone out there claiming to care about his life could have saved it years ago.

Are they saving young people today?

He was half turned around pointing a weapon at the cop.
The flashlight on the end of it blinded the cop. How could he be sure what kind of weapon it was? These guys face life or death situations on a regular basis, it's drilled into their heads.
