It’s Pretty Clear the GOP is Using the Ford Accusation to Help Midterms

GOP knows that SCOTUS will drive folks to the voting booth in Nov. They have basically the entire Dem party backing Ford even though her story has been BS from the start.

For a week delay, every GOP candidate has an easy and extremely effective campaign ad. Dems continue to forget that Trump is running the country and not a Jeff Flake type R who will concede at the slightest bit of controversy.

I wish it were true; if the GOP base isn’t fired up after two years of this shite show, they never will. While there maybe some merit in the OP, it’s not intentional it’s more inadvertent. No way do 51 senators have a spine, some do, but they have to work together to defeat the filth.

If they aren’t, they absolutely should start. This is the most absurd, transparently political ploy I’ve seen the marxists ever use.

Rs knew she was probably lying. But instead of immediately calling her on it, they made her continue to back up her claim. If they moved on then Ds would have ammo for midterms.

Rs knew that If it was a lie then it would get harder and harder to keep backing it up even with a complicit media.

They Rs are just giving her rope. She could’ve used it to save herself or well you know.

Whether it was intentional or not, the internal numbers for midterms have been improving since this has all started.

While the Generic ballot has widened, some of the key swing races have shown pretty significant gains for R’s last week.

Flake is the real problem with why Grassley has had to slow walk this. And it’s all personal because of Trump. That said, it’s turning out to be a blessing in disguise.

They are campaigning to the people with TDS. Rs are campaigning to the Ds who are feed up with this kid of stuff.

I think for the last two years the dynamic is that the Democrats are acting the way they are because, 1. They have to appease their insane base, and 2. They have to go to the extreme to obstruct and attack to cover for their past scandals....And for the GOP, they are content not to crush the Democrats based on the past scandals, but to slowly advance on those scandals, keeping it in the news, keeping their base irate for justice, for votes.

This.

A lot of people are going to wonder why the frick to waste the time to vote if this is what you get.

Showing the Dems are just much worse is not a winning strategy.

Honestly you’re advocating the same strategy as the Ds. Play to your radical base who at the end of the day will vote for you anyway.

The biggest play should be to make it clear that what DiFi was TOTALLY POLITICAL IN NATURE.
