My problem is this probably isn't about nukes, it's about regime change. That never goes well. If Iran can't withstand punches back, that's where it gets scary and we could get dragged in.

Airstrikes alone aren't a stupid idea. There is no reason to invade with troops.
The goal right now is to get Iran to capitulate to a deal. Few MOP's in B-2's would accelerate that.
