Lots of folks were communicating about Trump’s criminal conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The subpoena was for toll records (business records), that’s only info on who called whom, for how long, etc. There’s no recognized expectation of privacy for these kind of records so they can be obtained through grand jury subpoenas. They are not wiretaps that collect the audio of the calls.
I am not doubting you, where did you get this info?

I think Boasberg himself should be investigated. Too many coincidences involving him. I'm sure a record of who he's been speaking to and when would be quite interesting.
Should he be impeached this should be done.

Senators Ted Cruz and Eric Schmitt Call for the Impeachment of DC Judge James Boasberg
October 29, 2025
Sundance
excerpts:
quote:
There is a long history of corruption from the bench by James Boasberg, specifically surrounding the effort to target Donald Trump in a host of DC court rulings, injunctions and affirmations from the judicial branch [However, now that it hits close to home, suddenly Congress is outraged.
quote:
Judge James Boasberg signed off on the ‘Arctic Frost’ search warrants against Congress.
Boasberg issued blanket orders to the cell phone companies not to reveal the search warrants.
Boasberg is a FISA Court Judge.
Boasberg authorized one of the Carter Page title-1 surveillance warrants. Boasberg hired Mary McCord as amicus to the court. After appointing Mary McCord to take up a defensive position for herself and the FISA Court (cover),
Judge Boasberg then becomes the presiding judge in the case against the FBI agent who falsified the FISA application, Kevin Clinesmith. Boasberg gives Clinesmith a slap on the wrist and a few months probation (more cover).
Boasberg told John Durham (Bill Barr) allowing a target to escape prosecution is part of the penalty upon the DOJ for wrongful assembly of the FISA application; a nice way to cover the issue.
quote:
F**k off with this nonsense telling me Roberts is NOT protecting Boasberg.
Keep in mind, Mary McCord operates in all three branches of government: Deputy AG in charge of the DOJ-NSD (executive), on both impeachment committees by Schiff/Nadler and the J6 committee of Thompson (legislative), and as amicus to the FISA court (judicial).
That’s why she is “untouchable.” Mary McCord’s husband, Sheldon Snook, worked in the office of Chief Justice Roberts. Mary McCord is partnered with Norm Eisen. Norm Eisen hosted John Roberts in Europe and traveled with Justice Roberts as friends. There is no apple. It’s all worms.

Why stop there?
Supoena every judge and every democrat lawmaker, donor, member of SCOTUS and member of MSNBC to see who called who and for how long on the basis of trying to influence a federal judge on various decisions.
Sounds like it’s fair game to me!

Lawfare? I don’t see any. There’s no such thing.
So now "lawfare" includes all government-prosecution subpoenas?
You still deny the lawfare against Trump and other Republicans? You are officially a fricking retard. Kill yourself.

Less than five people outraged in this thread will read that letter.

They did the same thing to Schiff and Swalwell. Robert Hur did the same thing to Biden.
Stop acting like this stuff is out of the ordinary in investigations.

Boasberg needs to be disbarred .

Thanks for that.
That certainly seems more reasonable. If that is all there is to thing then this does seem an effort to manufacture outrage.
It is coming from Jack Smith's attorneys though - so I have a little bit skepticism.

I meat to add:
if Boasberg did say to AT&T not to tell Cruz - what is the point of that? It seems odd if what is at issue are just the historical records of phone calls coming in and out.

I always thought that was standard practice.

Btw Ted Cruz had to have known about this already. It’s even discussed in Smith’s report on this investigation.

The FBI issues national security letters all the time in situations like this.
It’s super ironic that Cruz and company are now whining about this as it’s been around since the Patriot Act.

I am probably jumping ahead of myself. What do we know about this alleged threat? All I have seen are some comments on the internet.
