France: In 1974, Iran provided a $1 billion loan to the French Atomic Energy Commission to help build the multinational Eurodif uranium enrichment plant at Tricastin, France.
In exchange, Iran secured a 10% equity stake to receive a proportional share of the plant's enriched output.
3. Nuclear Fuel for Power For its civilian nuclear reactor at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, Iran has relied on enriched fuel supplied by Russia, following agreements with Russia's state atomic energy corporation, Rosatom.
