My point was that a person with intellectual honesty would look at this situation and say "Even though CNN is on my team, I think what they did here was wrong at best and chilling at worst. I do not support them in this situation." There is no way to defend their actions if you are a reasonable person.

But of course, you have to jump through hoops to support your "team".

Full list of CNN advertisers, including Twitter handles - easily ask them if they'll continue to support a network that blackmails people.

CNN reporters are so stupid that they admit to blackmailing a 15 year old ON TWITTER! Insane! #CNNBlackmail

Honestly I hate the whole threaten the sponsor tactic. That's stooping to their level.

They're overtly threatening to dox the guy if he doesn't adhere to some sort of behavior that CNN demands from him. All because of a harmless meme.

I know some people want to be obtuse just for the sake of it, but try to be honest about it.

I have learned from the masses here that one must never read anything into a tweet or typed written message that is not explicitly stated.

The same people that KNEW Hillary would win? Or that Trump would be ruined by Comey's testimony? Or that (insert WH official) was definitely getting fired THIS WEEK?

That Trump tweet with the gif had more "likes" than most CNN programs have viewers. This thing has legs.

bullshite. If CNN's Sponsors are told people are not pleased with CNN. Maybe CNN will report the news and not be democrats campaign headquarters.

Remember a CNN lady was caught on mic wishing Trump's plane crashed. We all know they are team democrat they are suppose to be news.

Well. I'm very on record on this site EVEN IN DEFENSE of liberals as being against this approach.

But for frick's sake.

CNN just threatened the general public with Doxxing.(And yes, that's EXACTLY what they did)

Eh, I disagree.

The whole "boycott sponsors" is silly to me. I think they're well on their way to committing suicide. If the sponsors want to stay with them, it's just money wasted on their part.

Yeah, that whole "any publicity is good publicity" is kind of bullshite, especially for washed up actresses, disgraced politicians, etc.

CNN drawing attention to their shady tactics and lack of credibility at a time when their credibility is in crisis is a bad move. It's like United Airlines getting back in the news for beating the shite out of another passenger.
