Deep down, the fear for many if we stop supporting Israel is it will be destroyed, the world will keep on spinning and their entire belief system goes up in smoke. So they keep supporting it so they can continue living in the Matrix.

I'm no Bible scholar, RK...but I think that Prophecy indicates that whether or not we support Israel...they are going to take a serious hit. And it's common-sense to believe that they WILL hit back, maybe even pre-emptively...big time. They have the power to do so; they don't need us to do that. But will do us - and the World - a big favor if they do, because Islam is coming for all of us.
Israel or Islam. Not a hard choice for any Christian, or any common sense individual for that matter.

Link is informative. But like I said, gn...I just don't know what most of Israeli citizens believe or what their greater intent re their Nation/territory is. Probably runs the gamut, and I'm sure they have Religious/Nationalist zealots who unrealistically dream big.
That said, I'd have no problem if the Jews ran the whole ME, because the essential Principles of their Religion/Culture don't encompass taking over the whole World. Islam...not so much.
Some times, it is just flat out Human progress for one Group that is problematic...to be conquered and for their negative Culture to go away into the dustbin of Human history.
Of course, I don't consider myself wise enough to pick and choose who...or when. Mud on the wall.

No, it isn't. Absurd analogy. China didn't take the South China Sea because they were invaded from the SCS by a foreign power that controlled it.
Jordan controlled East Jerusalem. Israelis had zero access to the Jewish Quarter and the Western Wall while it was under Jordanian control. Then Jordan attacked Israel, and they were subsequently pushed out.

That's only partially true, many European and Russian Jews are/were distant descendants of displaced Israeli Jews. Thousands and thousands of Jews got the hell out before and during the crusades for instance.
