Also I wasn’t referring to you about the suppressor shot
All good, didn't think you were.
My response is i haven't seen anything indicating a plate carrier. Its possible he was wearing a low profile soft armor but then a ricochet isn't really possible at that point.
Eta
Ultimately my opinion is based on seeing pics with his nips visible behind the shirt.

Lmao. Because I can see all of the photos of CK CLEARLY not wearing armor. It would be visible.
You don't see the indication of armor here?

You know, that was the first pic I saw and o was telling everyone he had on armor. But then I saw a lot more pics and it’s REAL easy to tell he doesn’t. That’s just from his mic there in that pic

I think that shows a mic under his shirt.
If it was a plate it would go all the way around his chest.
And you wouldn't see the contour of his right pec

Many of those other pics you posted are from when he seems to be walking around the set. Are you sure he wouldn’t come out without the plate under his shirt then before he sits down put the plate under his shirt. That would make sense that when he sits in one spot he wears something like a thin titanium plate. Also the carrier may not be the normal carrier that you everyone thinks of when armor is worn and the person is moving around. maybe it’s more of just a holder since he is stationary.

Nope. I’m done here. Not doing it anymore. He wasn’t wearing armor.

I did say I was wrong. I initially thought he had armor on. I was wrong.

Gary did a video this afternoon and said that he no longer believes Charlie was wearing an armor plate.
I’ll bow to TFH the master of all things armor. However, Gary (paramount tactical) is not an idiot.

You can literally see his nipples through his shirt and the rounding of his pecs. He was not wearing plates.

It depends on the size, shape, velocity, distance and composition of the round being fired. Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) rounds are what the gun grabbers consider "armor" piercing but is also a popular round for target shooting due to being to buy in bulk, military surplus, and also because the round does not distort much when hitting a soft target. Maximum damage to a soft target (self defense) you do not want to use a FMJ.
That is the simple answer. I'm sure there are re-loaders and custom bullet loaders that can go into depth that would make your eyes bleed about bullets if you give them a chance.

How many times today has this board been convinced that he was wearing plates and with this picture constantly being shown? 6 times?
Do we need to pin a thread to remind everyone that he wasn’t wearing fricking body armor?
Posted on 9/11/25 at 10:12 pm to AUJACK
Armor piercing ammunition uses bullets that have steel or tungsten penetrators in them. FMJ is just a jacketed lead bullet.
.30-06 armor piercing ammo is not common anymore and as far as I know not easy to source. I've never seen any for sale and it's highly unlikely it was used here.
Odds are it was regular ol 150gr soft point hunting ammo, which would be horribly deadly at that range to a person and would defeat lots of standard body armor anyway.

What exactly do you think a civilian wearing a plate looks like?
They look exactly like a civilian that isn’t wearing a plate. High quality armor tailored for a specific individual’s body will not be distinguishable under normal circumstances. For obvious reasons. This ain’t Iraq.
Everything about the hit says armor. One of the dudes close friends says he was wearing armor. It’s really not even debatable at this point

Not a damned thing says armor. Not one thing.
Please. Show me a civilian armor kit that shows the contours and nips poking through the shirt like the above photo.
You’ve all spent far too much time in front of a computer the last two days. Go to a bar and grab drink or something.

I was told quite confidently that this wasn’t Iraq. He must be wearing Batman armor.

There are different protection levels of ballistic vests.

Yeah I'm amazed this was even considered a lucid thought.
