Should be more difficult to get on welfare. Stricter requirements. Would love to see the number of people on the government teet reduced. The left using it as leverage for votes is complete bullshite

The article is somewhat sloppily written, but they appear to be saying that it's the largest "April surplus" on record. In any event, it seems linked to investors pulling forward capital gains to beat the change-over to the new tax rules from the Trump tax bill. In any event, I am definitely amused at "small government" guys bragging about the magnitude of tax inflows.

What is more unreal than that is the fact that you think I give two fricks how much you rip me.
In case you haven't noticed, my side is winning and winning bigly.
When you're up by 50 you don't give a shite is the other team's Gatorade is better than yours.
SCOREBOARD mfer.

He's the first one in recent history that understands the bargaining power the POTUS has... and is willing to use it.

This isn't my thread. So, my reply to you was to show what the OP was talking about. However, no one I know is upset that tax RECEIPTS are up. It is the RATE reduction that is being heralded. It was never "Yay..the fed gov will get less money". To be sure, I don't give a frick if the receipts DID go down. I want real spending cuts. But, I have never heard a "small gov" type lamenting that tax RATE reductions resulted in higher tax RECEIPTS. That is a silly argument.

How many people here are celebrating Trump but were talking shite about him when he signed the omnibus? This board was full of turncoats recently who are now bandwagon jumping back on.

What's silly is equating this with the new tax bill. Just because some investors pulled forward some gains says NOTHING about the actual long-term impact of receipts from the new changes. It will take AT LEAST a year to rationally assess that.

Agreed. I just do not get your "small gov" lament as it relates to higher tax receipts.

How low will Trumpkins take this great nation?

We must be winning more bigly that I thought
Just think how much better it would be if MSM told everyone all that is happening.
The liberal heads exploding would sound like Yellowstone blew.
Sadly the libtards remain ignorant as anyone can tell just by what they are writing in this forum.

Because, and this may be a complete shock, normal people outside of your safe spaces can support the president without deep throating every single thing he does no matter what. Some of you truly think he’s infallible, like was a joke for a bit to ‘troll libs’ but now you’re fully swimming in it.

Agree 100%. I was pissed AF that he signed it and several others were as well. THEN, even GEOTUS himself wanted to walk some parts back. Doesn't mean we abandon all support. That would be ludicrous to have that line of thinking.
