Is the United States still a country?

Country:
a nation with its own government, occupying a particular territory.
Or is this just an area of land controlled by international entities for their own purposes?

A country has to have a border, so not really.

The United States as we know it died on 9/11. Sure...we had that short moment where everyone came together to sing Kumbaya but it was all a facade. Everything that has led to this moment can be traced back to the day the Towers fell.

No. It never was a country. The root of "nation" is "nat" pertaining to birth. The US has always been made up of different nations and cultures.

I think the beginning was Vietnam which radicalized the universities and produced the first radical marxist terrorist groups. Those people began the work of subversion.
And don't forget free trade which hollowed out US productive industry and lead to financial economy. Both devastating to the US worker. And also directly lead to China becoming a superpower.
Maybe even more important was the cultural assault which began in the 60s-70s by mass media and music on religion and traditional values which has lead to children raised without fathers and the assault on the traditional family.
And then there is the development of the internet which produced the new oligarchs and furthered the globalist agenda. Also very useful for censorship and the one truth.
And 9/11 was a major negative impact as well. Homeland security, eternal war, deficits and the big lie. In particular the republican party reputation was badly damaged.
And then there was Obama and the first taste of power by the radical left. That is when major subversion of the deep state, military and education system really took off.
With a little thought, we could easily put together a timeline of the major events leading to today.

I believe it died in 1965 with the Immigration Act that Johnson and the Democrats signed. The act stopped most immigration from Western European states and ushered in migrants that come from third world nations that just don’t adapt to our American culture.

I have hear perspectives on this that take it back to the socialist/communists of the 30s
or The 19th Amendment 1920? and the leadup years to that.
of course, there is frequent attribution to the Civil War and Lincoln's federal buildup
It appears that times WITH TROUBLES are always around the country
Life on earth has almost always been difficult with inhabitants always dealing with somebody fcking with them, or war, or even just the subsidence of trying to scratch out a living - out of the earth, out of the seas, out of mines, out of...
slavery, genocide, wars, conquerors, mass murders, invasions overt or otherwise..
There is a whole raft of truly wonderful things that have arisen as well, so
What ya gonna do?

No. We're part of a globalist conglomerate. Us, and western European countries are part of it.
This is what happens when our representatives have no power...and the unelected are completely in control.

Despite the idiots in the WH, the US is the still a great country. If you ever lived abroad, you would understand.

The formation of the UN was not good for our sovereignty.

No. Effectively, DeSantis is running half the states right now, including my own of Colorado. Pollis takes his lead from Georgia that takes its lead from Florida. I don’t want liberals to actually realize that though, so I’m keeping my trap shut around my Colorado friends about that, since with only New Hampshire as competition, it was by far the best Blue State to live in during Covid.

we're more like afghanistan, just a bunch of neighboring tribes that someone drew a line around
