Bud Light wants to put this epic PR disaster behind them as soon as possible. Rumors are the Anheuser-Busch marketing team, realizing the futility of making consumers forget entirely, is to brand the boycott as something of the past.

Wikipedia Refers to Consumer Outrage in the Past-Tense as the “2023 Bud Light Boycott”

I never cared much for bud light before the boycott, but friends of mine told me it is supposedly still on-going?

With Kid Rock’s about-face, what’s the status?

Yes, they apologized. The CEO made a statement on behalf of the company:
quote:

We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer. My time serving this country taught me the importance of accountability and the values upon which America was founded: freedom, hard work and respect for one another. As CEO of Anheuser-Busch, I am focused on building and protecting our remarkable history and heritage. I care deeply about this country, this company, our brands and our partners. I spend much of my time traveling across America, listening to and learning from our customers, distributors and others. Moving forward, I will continue to work tirelessly to bring great beers to consumers across our nation.

Is there an apology or recognition of fault in that release?

Or any promise to not push a similar agenda forward again?

It’s just words. Empty words.

So they're getting cancelled, forever, regardless of any mea culpa.

They? It was one or at most, two people responsible for this. This cannot be compared to that spice company or whichever clothing company it is that has this shite as their mission statement.

She's gone and no one at Bud Light remains that was a part of that shite.

Sure, but the corporation is responsible for the actions of its employees, so "They"/it would have to apologize.

Meh, this is not similar to a tort with respondeat superior. Not surprised you reacted that way though. It's quite the smooth brain response.

Bud light can’t just fire them, they need to affirmatively disclaim the trans agenda. Until they do, they’ve become the very easy target to focus animosity to the trans agenda. It costs the millions of cheap beer drinkers nothing to switch to one of the other cheap beers.
