That's not "alt" left at all. The mainstream left truly believes that blacks are beneath them and unable to take care of themselves. They are true believers in The White Man's Burden.

I'm a libertarian, but I cannot stand the Libertarian Party. It's impossible to take them seriously, so I'm registered as a Republican and hoping Rand can make some noise.

There is no alt-right.

You fail because you let them define the language used in the propaganda.

I'm a libertarian and while I find fault with both the Republicans and the Democrats, liberal leftists now seem to be so far out there that I'm willing to go along with some Republicans who don't disgust me too much (like McCain, for example). And due to the increasing number of incidents similar to the ones that took place in Europe earlier this week, immigration is becoming a bigger issue for me. That makes it easier to go along with some Republicans.

I can't stand the libertarian political party either. It's boring and unprincipled.

Those aren't libertarian ideals, but I'll let you live in your little fantasy world where you think you're right.

Libertarians have utterly failed at spreading their message, and the evidence suggests that the browner your skin color, the less attracted you are to libertarian ideals.

Lots of libertarians took a "if you can't win em over, kick them out" position recently it appears. They moved from their from the micro (economic, property rights, markets, etc) to the meta (western culture vs oriential collectivism)

Remember, trump won self described libertarian republicans by a whopping margin in the primary, even when rand was still in the race.

I think two things:

1) There were a lot of myths about the right wing before this election, and a major one was the imaginary 'lanes' such as the libertarian lane, the establishment lane, etc. In reality, libertarian republicans make up a tiny, tiny fraction of the right wing. I know there is an outsized amount on this board, but in reality, if you never vote libertarian or for the libertarian republican, are you really a libertarian?

2) Conservatism as it was envisioned by the Bushes and Kristols is dying as well. Conservatism in the rear view mirror is looking more and more like a lot of vague, lofty principles which were really social evangelicalism mixed with a general idea that government needed to remove itself from economic life. The problem for conservatism is that it either never had enough people willing to actually put principle to paper, or was simply, as Buckley put it, a movement to say "Stop" (paraphrasing). This doesn't really lend itself to concrete victories, you're just always fighting a retreat.

I think the Alt-Right or whatever you want to call this is the first time since world war two that the right wing has had a concrete set of goals to move the nation in a specific direction, and not just stop the policy agenda of the left.

Wrong wrong wrong

nah bro, "alt right" and Libertarianism are completely separate. They team up on occasion.

There has always been a shadow movement within libertarianism that pointed out capitalism/markets/freedom are western in origin and essence, and that it should be defended.

Shadow movement? Dude, this idea is plastered all over every major libertarian work. It also has dick to do with the alt right. Your analysis is weak IMO.

The fact of the matter is this: many libertarians are correct when they say that deporting all brown people will make it easier to pass "libertarian" legislation because whites are much more likely to believe in things like low taxes, no welfare, etc.

It's a messaging problem.

There are plenty of reasons for minorities to distrust the government. Libertarians should hammer those reasons 24-7.

Took me a while to come to terms with this very harsh reality. And thankfully, you're realizing that as well.

Western civilization and limited government is only practiced and embraced by white people in North America, Europe and Australia.

We have to make sure the demographics doesn't overtake us and put us in a system of oppressive collectivism.

Problem is that isn't going to stop them from wanting free shite and over regulation of the economy.

Hail, as a resident expert on historical libertarianism, I'll let you in on a secret. You have it all wrong.

Google 'Jeffrey Tucker Libertarian Brutalism' and you'll gain some understanding as to the branching of libertarianism

Nope.

A libertarian isn't an American patriot because he feels all nations and borders are falsely created constructs. A libertarian will say "Why does the border of Nevada end here, but California starts here? No-one asked me about this".

I am not saying libertarians aren't patriotic or that they don't love America or their fellow American's. For example.

LINK

God bless that man.

What I am saying is that love of nation and patriotism isn't part of the libertarian credo since they wished governments didn't exist at all and to they extent they do, they certainly don't feel the need to pledge allegencie to any cloth....excuse me, flag.

I loved trump. I liked rand also. I know trump has a hands on big govt in some cases style. I felt like he would be a better choice as a transition person for rand later. Rather than rand take over right now. Trump is what we needed right now. I'll take rand after trump.

This is pretty much exactly how I feel

Anarchists?

This is the Libertarian party platform about immigration.

We welcome all refugees to our country. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age, or sexual preference. We therefore call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally.
