Or what if the government brought in more money to make up for deficit? Will be interesting to see where we’re at this time next year. Supposed there are 11 more rescission bills going to take place according to Mike Johnson and Thune, we will see.

Well you were wrong for months saying tarriffs would crash the economy… and you’re wrong about this.

Huh? Are you denying the the government had to bail out Intel by buying an equity stake in the company? Are you denying (see the first page of the forum) that Trump is proposing to bail out farmers because China retaliated with tariffs on US exports, and is now buying from Argentina and Brazil instead of the US?

What’s insane is that we just bailed out Argentina and they took our market share.

I guess that’s 3D chess America First stuff.

But why are people denying that there won’t be a farm bailout? It happened in Trumps first term for the exact same reasons.

The 2 industries that tariffs were supposed to help were manufacturing and agriculture. Both are in the frickin toilet right now.

Bailout seem to be a feature, not a bug of both of Trumps terms.

Pipe dream.

Taxing Americans to give stimulus checks/tax cuts to Americans seems really stupid.

OK so you don't even understand the conversation being had.

Your post just displayed the perfect avatar for a populist voter promoting socialism without realizing it (and for sure without admitting it).

Only a blithering idiot would think the tariffs would crash the economy in a couple of months.

Trump consistently said even back in his rallies they are going to have to be patient, said it again the other day. I’ll wait and see, you can obviously not believe him. Doesn’t bother me if he pulls extra tariff money to give them short term help if it works out in the end.

I understand.

Again, we can go back to 2016 where I say my biggest problems with Trump/MAGA are based around their leftist economic policies.

Just because they're sold as "populism" doesn't change the underlying nature of the policies.

We have an unhinderd, America-First President in the Oval Office for the first time in decades, but some of these fools throw out a term like "Populism" and act like they've made some sort of definitive statement.

Does socialism work better for you?

It's not stupid if you're a politician wanting to buy votes with voter's own money to stay in power.

Ain t me slick. I never said it would crash the economy. You believe dipshits like MoT.

I said it would damage the economy, which they clearly are.

But you will not see full effects for a couple quarters.

There’s nothing efficient about producing something overseas and waiting months for it to arrive on a ship that burns oil sludge.

We're talking economics. What's the price difference and saving for consumers?

Those savings allow more money to flow to more productive areas of our economy, which put us ahead economically and widen the SOL gap.

That's efficient (economically).

I do agree with this. Use taxes, and majority of tariff money to pay down debt, cut more spending
