Is it possible to crush Chinas economy?

Pretend you are the newly elected President. Is there a way you could tank Chinas economy without starting a war.
I will state that war would probably be a given if your actions work.
How would you do it and try to spare the American workers and middle class with no more taxes or tariffs on them.
I have no background on economy and find it infuriating so I'm just curious as to how people would do it or if it is even possible.

Correct answer. The players (political, corporate lobbyists, CEOs, CFOs, etc.) in the Corporatocracy got rich and the American people got screwed. Sold out so to speak.

Stop buying their shite - and yes- we can screw them. Unfortunately, we have outsourced all of the components we use to build everything from cars, to tractors, to machinery. With the existing supply chain China owns us. It is real and we should do something about it.
As an aside, they are so cash-rich because of our buying binge in the US they can also overpay for US products (food, steel, fuel) and make our prices as US consumers even more unbearable. They have us by the dick and we don't have a leader that can fix it.

Yep. That is exactly what I am saying. Even if you buy *Made in America*, most of the components are from China anyway. It's all a fraud. Everything from plastic components, to machinery components, to clothing, to whatever.... They have us by the balls. I miss Trump.

The only way to win would be to just say *we will not take any products or components made in China. They are now illegal.*
If we were to have any chance that would be it because its would completely cut off their lifeblood (US dollars). Stopping their cashflow is the only weapon we have but we are so addicted to cheap/easy that it is very unlikely we could pull it off. And out leadership is embarrassing dogshit that is incapable of being in control...

Americans are too fat, lazy, spoiled, stupid, and pathetic to undertake what that means.
For example, We’d have to wait a couple years to get iphone plants up and running or maybe not have new phones every year. that’s too much sacrifice.
Our grandparents sacrificed their lives and youth to beat communism and fascism.
We happily accepted both because were too pathetic to sacrifice a minor comfort for a couple of months.

*Manufacturing* is a really broad category. When 90% of the components are made in china what does *manufacturing* even mean? What does it matter? How does it change anything? China is still sucking all of the profits from the American economy.

The only way to collapse China in one fell swoop is to eliminate the Three Gorges Dam, but that starts a war unless the military made it look natural somehow.

The worlds leverage over China is they can't feed their massive population without the U.S and Brazil. If you wanted to hurt the Chinese you do it though ag exports.

Colonize Mexico. Build factories everywhere and only buy things made in North America. China uses child labor and no wages. Mexico would too.
