I agree with you. But my concern is that if this does keep dragging on the inflation trickle down effect will continue to crimp the middle class- who in my opinion is still somewhat reeling from Covid.
Trump is causing the very thing he ran to stop with KamalaBiden.
Also the markets are no longer ignoring the war, ( yes still at all time highs) sure but it will not take much to spin this into a bear market.

That's because there is no outcome that benefits the United States so they just have to make up new nonsense every few weeks
Unfortunately the war has the potential to spread. We haven't left ourselves with many good options to get out of this.

I dont know. Its hard to get a consensus on what Iran's current capabilities are but if they can take out enough oil infrastructure to essentially shut down oil production out of the gulf countries for a year or two and take out power/ water/ desalination plants that serve millions of people, along with destabilizing the power dynamics in those states......we could be approaching similar results.
Now I guess there would be nothing stopping Iran from using its conventional forces AND a nuke...if they ever got one. So my either or framing I suppose isnt right, but I do tend to believe the current threat from conventional forces is much more serious than what the our administration is relaying to the public. Seems evident in our action but not in words.

This makes sense and "mowing the grass" every so often may have not elicited such strong reaction from Iran as we have been seeing. It didnt in June 2025 or when Natanz was attacked in 2020. Killing their leadership, accidently killing a bunch of school kids , and bombing the shite out oft the whole country for months well of course they are going to react. Seem like sending in troops is a non starter for the American people so I dont know how we get out of this mess.

Because that $1000 a year in gas is pennies to the bonuses I see with inflated oil prices…so yeah, I don’t mind.
