before making that leap

It’s more of a hop or a skip than a leap.

The words Milley used have specific meanings in the context of the discussion and his tying “white rage” to 1/6 give us even more context. Because you’re a sophist by trade, you will argue against the plain meaning of words in context. But I’m not stupid.

Here’s a leftist’s interpretation and defense of Milley’s comments.

quote:

There’s a battle for America going on right now. Milley stood on a wall, as most military men and women do, and defended it. It’s a wall between freedom and fascism; good and evil. It’s a wall holding back something sinister that we have seen in human history before, here and elsewhere. He didn’t build the wall. It’s always existed. But it’s a wall that partisan-factioned opportunists like Gaetz and other firebrand extremists depend on. They use it hoping to separate themselves and a narrowly-defined and -experienced America from what exists before their very eyes. Led most recently by ex-President Donald Trump, they brand nearly every segment of American society that doesn’t look, sound, talk, think, vote, or pray like them as enemies of the state, including, now, the U.S. military.

Let me know which parts of that you disagree with. Or just ignore this post and pretend you’re not a liar and a hack.

Trump got them to expose themselves about a decade earlier than they likely planned.

I clearly follow what you said. You’ve just made leaps/hops/skips that just aren’t there and then get mad when I refuse to accept your faulty premise.

But don’t let me get in the way of your rage. Carry on

Would you like to define “white rage” how Milley used it?

I think people in positions of power like him don't understand is that if it got hot, "white supremacists" are not looking at minorities, gays, illegal immigrants or even neighborhood liberals.

The lists only includes people like him. "White supremacists" don't live on a plantation like Democrat voters. "White supremacists" know who are the real problems are in society. It's always the people at the power levers. When shite pops off people like him better be on the first flight out of the lower 48 or his ilk won't make it to the other side of the Revolution.

those of you that don't believe that the military and the police wouldn't shoot citizens in the streets are sadly mistaken. They will do it.

Maybe a few here and there, and only under carefully controlled conditions where they can “justify” things to a reasonable extent.

A mere 5% of this country’s population, if determined, would break our own military’s will in short order.

He won’t do shite but shite out rhetoric. That’s what lawyers are trained to do when they’re defending a losing position.

Won’t take all out war to back the left down, they’re weaklings. There are a lot of America First retired special ops guys. A little something here, a little something there, and the left would be at the table to negotiate a split

This.

The biggest issue is it's a matter of logistics for the power brokers, the left and the military.

The left mostly live in large Urban centers. Bro, you're surrounded.

The military is a huge, cumbersome target with centralized control structures. Bro, you wearing camouflage but we can still see you.

Power Brokers have to live life. Bro, when the dust settles we'll find your hole and rip you out of it.

It's really unwinnable for them. People that live in rural areas and small towns in America, of which there are a shite ton, all think the same ideologically and politically, have access to all the raw resources to survive, have all the necessary technical and survival skills and have small personal armaments.

It would be painful for all involved but will and morale is also heavily on the rural right. The right would actually be fighting for something they are willing to die for. Their families, their kids futures.

If the greatest military in the history of the world can't handle a bunch of Village rice Pickers in Vietnam or a bunch of goat frickers with no cover in the desert, how the frick are they going to quell the most well-armed militia in the history of the world, Rural America?

I also heard today that Milley was the one who worked to undermine and destroy Trumps deal with the Taliban.

Trump hired Milley and appointed him to be Chairman.

And also hired all of the problem actors that he whines about.

Funny how it's always the fault of someone else and never ever Trump himself.

It was Trump's biggest weakness. When they took out Flynn they got the one that Trump could have depended on for these matters. Flynn was the insider that Trump needed in Washington. Jug Ears knew what he was doing.

I guess that totally excuses Milley’s descent into critical race jargon and perhaps ideology. Good catch.

And it still is.

Personnel is policy.

By 2024 and for the Presidential term that ends in 2029, Trump will be an old man in his late 70s and early 80s and do you see him being shrewd enough to make changes in how he operates, who he hires, what policy he fights for and how he implements them?

Trump is an extremely stubborn mule and I don't see him making those changes. And thus why I don't support Trump 2024 and want Ron DeSantis as the GOP nominee.

It's why good instincts and a willingness to brawl is not enough in politics.

You have to have competency, institutional knowledge and discipline to be able to wield raw political power effectively.

Trump was saying the other day that he hired Milley because Mattis hated him and did not support him.

Brilliant logic that I want from the President of the United States.

But the difference is that they have no organizational structures (in terms of resistance), have significant demographic disadvantages, and are mostly isolated from one another, and from significant ports and exit points. Not only that, the rural/urban divide isn't as neatly delineated as you are suggesting. If along strictly party lines, 30% of each area, urban and rural, would represent a group sympathetic to the respective opposition, with suburbs seeing a 50-50 split. Any civil conflict would be unbelievably messy, and ultimately very pointless.

Contrary to popular belief, the Viet Cong were an extremely well-drilled organization, with consistent doctrines they used throughout the war. The same is true of the Taliban, which is portrayed as "backward" but had a relatively strong leadership core that adapted to the battlefield fairly well. Both organizations relied heavily on foreign assistance, with the VC relying on USSR and Chinese goods after the industrial capacity of the region was decimated, and the Taliban relying on Pakistan, among other groups.

This isn't to say any American opposition could not develop along those lines. But there are such severe demographic and geographic issues present that it would take years of work to build any thing like that organizational capacity.

This is true but Milley was already there as a General before Trump and he’s there as a general after Trump.

It would have been nice if Trump had forced him into retirement or sent him somewhere shitty. But I don’t think Trump realized the extent the swamp had creeped into the military leadership.
