Los Angeles County has over 1,000,000 illegal aliens. Hard to find numbers, but this CBS article from this morning said that "over 100" illegals have been apprehended in the ICE Los Angeles raids over the last week.

Assuring that number is 140, that would mean 20 a day have been apprehended in these ICE raids. At this rate, it will take 137 years just to rid Los Angeles of illegals.

What is the Trump Administration hoping to accomplish with this splashy show of force? Encourage self-deportations? With all the resources deployed in Los Angeles, do you think ICE will start bumping up the numbers?

For reference everyone, OP started a topic yesterday bringing up Jan 6th.

He has a very clear agenda.

You can’t clean something up without starting first, regardless of the numbers

Some of y'all really are entertaining. I asked a question about deployment of the National Guard and J6. I got some good answers distinguishing J6 from Los Angeles. I didn't have any agenda.

As for ICE's performance in L.A., I was curious how effective it has been. Given the target-rich environment, I was surprised the numbers were so low. Aren't you surprised?

I am wondering why that is. If someone has an explanation, I would like to hear it.

Total failure compared to the Biden - Harris ICE department - they were amazing at keeping us safe

It's far less efficient than shutting off free shite from the government. That would be the best solution.

In LA? They literally raided a Home Depot parking lot. This was a pretty ham-handed way to nab 118 random illegals. It was not at all focused on violent criminals.

Why is it assumed anybody who traffics in reality is considered a liberal? I'm just going to ignore these insults from here on out.

You think the day laborers they rounded up at Home Depot were the "worst of the worst?" With all the assets deployed, I just expected higher numbers.

No, I'm not surprised, because I have common sense. Did you think having ICE agents mobbed by protesters would increase efficiency?

Trump has done an INCREDIBLE job with shutting the border that the Dems purposely opened. He gets the highest marks for that.

I'm just wondering why the same efficiency doesn't seem to apply to deportations. I was hoping for some practical answers. I will settle for insults.

Using common sense, you would think the protestors themselves would bump up the numbers over 20 per day. If they are actually interfering with ICE, ARREST them, then deport those who are illegal aliens.

I’ll tell ya why - they don’t have the money and they need 10,000 more ice officers

Did you know that we have had a threshold of 6,000 ICE officers for the past 2 decades? They have refused to allow this agency to grow over the years and have capped the hiring at 6,000 total ICE officers

This is another reason why the Big Beautiful Bill is so important. Inside of the BBB is to give ICE $75 Billion to hire more officers and upgrade their technologies because ICE has been neglected for the past 20+ years

They simply don’t have the manpower that’s needed to carry out this deportation assignment

A journey of 100 miles starts with one step.

Would you rather then entire ICE agency show up in CA and start rounding them up?

Basically hitting different cities per week?

Given the expense of federalizing 4,000 California National Guard troops for the month and sending in Marines...yes...I think that would be a great idea.

Plus one MILLION illegal aliens in one county??? It's like fishing. Fish where the fish are.

Thanks, Tech. No...I didn't know that. Very helpful.
