It’s a difference in degrees. It would be akin to if members of Delta Force owned every utility, every grocery store, every factory, every farm, everything. Literally, there is nothing recognizable as a private sector in Iran.
In the U.S., we still have a competitive economy. While the CIA certainly has significant influence over the largest corporations, you can still start a business. You can make stuff. That is not how Iran works at all.

If you've ever watched any travel videos of Iran, you would see that a large percentage of women in the cities haven't had them for quite a while.

Fair enough.

Even those fricking women here wear them, pretty sure it’s more then men in their lives making them than it is the supreme leader
So if it was the men in their lives making them wear it then why aren't they still wearing it?

Many women in Iran, especially Tehran, already don't wear hijab, especially those who are more progressive.
Also, most immigrants hold on more strongly to their culture than natives.
Even the US culture is more conservative than our European counterparts.

Massive conversions away from Shia the last decade. The nation is maybe 10% moslem. They are mostly atheist/agnostic, Christian, Zoroastrian or Jewish now.

There was once 75,000 open Mosques in Iran, in the last 10 or so years, 50,000 of those have closed down due to no attendance. Islam is/was dying in Iran. Only the fanatical regime was intent on keeping it alive. Anonymous polls show that roughly 3/4ths of he population are not muslim.
The only reason any of them went to Mosques and "practiced" was it was either do so or die.

They don’t care. Most Americans have no clue what they’ve gone through and what this means to them.
Yup. Non-"Islamic State" Iranians are more often than not totally bad aass. I've known a few.
They've been through hell and have very few fks left to give.

I highly doubt this happens.
Even though that’s what always happens, historically.
