They ignored both other than positive words for the protestors. Neither intervened in any meaningful way.
You seem to be conflating something, at best, tangentially related to the 2009 protests that came years after the protests with the Obama reaction to the protests.

Positive words mean absolutely zero when you’re getting shot at. The regime will kill enough protestors to end the revolt. The only way the protestors can win is if they can shoot back. This revolt will end in a couple of days with the regime in control.

Almost assuredly true.
This pops off every few years. The President gives thoughts and prayers alone to the protestors, and it fails. I don't see why this time would be different, but it may be.

It’s audacious of you to pretend that all Obama did was nothing. He tried to ladle money to the Iranian government in exchange for Iran restricting its nuclear program - something we know they would cheat on.

Not with so many moslems leaving Islam completely and converting to other religions all older than Islam. The nation is 30% of less islamic and 2/3 of the mosques were shutdown last year due lack of attendance.

Let me TRY to educate you. The people are mad because the mullahs are stealing all of the wealth. There are a number of gold mines, lots of oil and natural gas. They have petrochemicals too. Then there is the crop more valuable than gold, saffron. They grow most of it in the world and pound for pound more expensive than gold.
