These drones are not really effective. They have not even really disabled any of the tankers they have managed to hit.

I cant find any evidence of a drone strike today on a tanker, and Grok can not either.

Well, with respect of course, that perspective probably doesn’t necessarily calm the nerves and instill confidence and a feeling of security in company owners, captains, crews and the insurance companies that underwrite the vessel’s passage through the what I’m sure has been considered or deemed a “conflict zone” of sorts for some time now.

Then why did we copy them and use them ourselves?

I guess it happened yesterday. The crew had to abandon ship.

They are going to mobilize troops with zero air cover?

They would be sitting ducks.

There does not seem to be a concensus that this is true.but I guess that depends on your definition of nearly gone.

I think the fact that we've been bombing them for 10 consecutive nights might give you a hint that they're not as close to being out as was originally claimed

This statement is up there with 2 weeks to stop the spread. We keep hearing it but it doesn’t mean anything any more.

No serious person takes Hegseth at his word

Eventually he might be right but for now the default position should be to just ignore it as noise

We can simply look at the amount of missiles fired at the beginning of the war vs how many they’re firing now.

Because we are not trying to use them to take out shipping.

This is the correct answer.

The number of drones/missiles being launched now is laughable. But amplified in the press.

They do not actually know what hit that ship. There is no verification that it was a drone.

It might be something else. But an educated guess says it was a one way attack drone.

Trump should’ve moved forward with Bridge & Power Plant day as originally scheduled back in early April. That pause for negotiations was not ideal.
