You're melting and you need to slow down

We'll see what the blow back is.
The bottom line is we just got involved in a Shia internal gang fight. We are currently supporting al-Sadr, the same mother fricker who killed a shite ton of Soldiers in 1st Cav, 1st Armored and 2nd ACR in 2004.

Is there any proof that the USA did it?

If you multiply the death of Osama bin Laden and Abu Bakr al Baghdadi you begin to understand the significance of Soleimani’s death.
This man controlled the most powerful state-controlled army of terror.

Wow. CNN is essentially mourning the Iran general.

This looks like a full on raid on Iraqi/Iranian terrorist networks.
If that is true, this is a multidirectional attack on multiple entities.

The Iranians have effective anti ship missile systems. Their option A would be a massive missile strike, that would overwhelm our defense systems.
We would lose ships.

Careful before you are designated as a member of the IB Freeman school of wrong.

Have we ever got the nukes back Obama and Hillary gave them while Chris Stevens was being dragged through the streets?
Posted on 1/2/20 at 7:45 pm to MrLSU
These groups receive Iranian support, but Iran does not exercise command and control. They’re an influence mechanism for Iran.
If Iran did control them, we wouldn’t have seen the anti Iranian street riots.
I mentioned it up thread, but the PMUs are legally part of the Iraqi armed forces, and have been for years.
This confrontation will end with a complete US withdrawal from Iraq.

Massive news. Soleimani was the architect of the 'death by a thousand cuts' philosophy that led Iran to a large amount of success considering their resources. Arguably he's one of the most influential generals of the 21st century.
The Iranians will respond, but who will they target? It has to be a high-value target to the degree that any US response is actually worth it.
