Inventing the Russian Boogeyman - The FULL Timeline

Let's go back to where this all began, shall we?
- Sept. 2015, FBI agent Hawkins warns DNC tech support, Mr. Tamene, one of their servers was hacked by one of "The Dukes", which is alleged to be a Russian cyber-espionage unit. LINK Now how the FBI knew the DNC was being hacked is of itself very perplexing. Why was the FBI monitoring computer traffic in/out of the DNC?
- Sept. 2015 - An unamed wealthy Republican donor who opposed Trump's candidacy, hired Fusion GPS to do opposition research on Trump. However, when Trump won the nomination, the Republican donor bailed out. (Later re-hired by the DNC) LINK
- Dec. 2015 - Bernie Sander's campaign staffers accused of getting improper access to Clinton campaign data and confidential voter information via DNC server "glitch". LINK DNC tech support wrapped up in this debacle, ignores other hacking suspicions.
- Jan. 2016 - DNC tech support guy, Mr. Tamene, met with FBI agent Hawkins, but didn't believe he was FBI or his story about his servers being hacked and blew it all off. LINK Meanwhile, APT-29/Cozy Bear is said to have injected malware in the server which gave them backdoor access for months. LINK
- Feb. 22, 2016 - Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort, is accused of having ties to Russia and being blackmailed after his computer was hacked. LINK Turned out to be false, and his only connections were business related in the Ukraine. This is when the Russia-Trump narrative first grew wings.
- March 19, 2016 - DNC aide to Podesta, Mr. Delavan, receives the phishing email claiming Podesta and other DNC staffers GMail accounts were receiving unauthorized access attempts and they all needed to change their passwords. He tells Podesta and several other staffers the email is legit and they should change their password. LINK and LINK However, it was not legit and this exercise gave "someone" access to Podesta's and other staffer's email archives (over 60,000 emails). That said, nobody who has fallen for this phishing email scam is yet aware what they have actually done for nearly 6 weeks.
- April 29, 2016 - DNC tech support installs monitoring software designed to weed out malware and injectors by logging certain data routing through their machines. Mr. Tamene discovers an unauthorized user accessing staffer files and reports to DNC head's Dacey and Wasserman-Schultz their system has been hacked. LINK
- April 30, 2016 - DNC hires CrowdStrike, a cyber-security firm, to investigate their breech and the extent of possible data lost.
- May 4, 2016 - Trump is named presumptive nominee.
- May 2016 - CrowdStrike claims that APT-29 Cozy Bear accessed the DNC server via malware injections back in Sept 2015, and APT-28 Fancy Bear accessed the DNC server via malware injections beginning March 2016. They insist that both of these code-names are affiliated with Russian cyber-espionage units linked to the Russian government. However, there is no definitive confirmation of this assertion. CrowdStrike report. Findings on "The Dukes" AKA Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear.
- May 2016 - George Soros, Open Society Foundation server is hacked. Cyber-security company ThreatConnect insists the hacker is Guccifer2.0 and possibly affiliated with GRU linked group known as Fancy Bear.
- May 2016 - CrowdStrike sets up entire new server for DNC and formats every computer and laptop of every DNC staffer on the network. The DNC server is wiped clean as well. No other authorities ever get to examine it. Not the FBI, CIA, NSA, or ODNI. Nobody. All we have to go by is the report supplied by CrowdStrike that says it was the Russians.
- May/June 2016 - The DNC hires Fusion GPS, who was already in the midst of puting together opposition research about Trump. Immediately, they hire Orbis Business Intelligence firm headed by ex-MI6 agent, Christopher Steele. Steele is the author of the now infamous "fake dossier".
- June 13, 2016 - DNC holds press conference asserting they were hacked by Russia. LINK
- June 14, 2016 - Guccifer2.0 claims responsibility for the hacks of the DNC mainframe dating back to March and posts this website linking to a handful of DNC documents. He also claims that he has handed over to WikiLeaks thousands of additional documents and emails.
- June 14, 2016 - WaPo begins attempting to infer connections between Team Trump and Russia. LINK
- June 15, 2016 - CrowdStrike suggests that Guccifer2.0 may be just a front for the Cozy Bear/Fancy Bear Russian cyber-espionage units, but they support this with nothing but conjecture. LINK
- June 2016 - Some cyber geeks out of the University of Indiana, began trace-routing IP addresses affiliated with Trump Organization holdings. They found that a sever in the Trump Tower was consistently communicating with a bank in Russia. A subsequent investigation, however, found no wrong-doing. It was simply a Russian bank leasing space in Trump Tower and processing daily banking activity. There was no association with Team Trump. LINK
- June 2016 - HeatStreet confirms the FBI and DOJ requested a FISA court order to monitor 4 Trump associates, however the order was denied for being too broad. LINK

The Left and MSM goes absolutely bonkers, accusing Trump of asking Russia to hack someone for him. - Aug. 15, 2016 - DC Leaks posts tens of thousands of documents stolen from the George Soros Open Society Foundation server hack. DC Leaks/soros
- Aug. 16, 2016 - A hacking organization called the "Shadow Brokers" auctions off to the highest bidder NSA created spy program designed to inject malware and gain access to server mainframes. They prove they actually have it by releasing some of the code, which the NSA confirms is legit. Funny this is the same form of malware used to hack the DNC. Shadow Brokers
- Aug/Sept/Oct 2016 - Constant bombardment from the MSM either bashing Trump for alleged connections to Russia and "hacking the election" or MSM making veiled excuses for why the emails impugning Hillary and her campaign aren't really that bad or worthy of coverage. LINK
- Oct. 7, 2016 - ODNI chief, James Clapper, a known and repudiated liar, announces, along with President Obama, that Russians purposely are trying to influence our election process. FBI Comey and NSA Rogers refuse to directly accuse Moscow for being responsible. LINK
- Oct. 7, 2016 - WikiLeaks begins dropping 1,800 to 3,000 John Podesta emails per day for the next 30 days. LINK
- Oct. 2016 - FBI and DOJ request a more narrowed FISA court order to monitor a server inside Trump Tower. It turns out to be owned by a Russian bank simply leasing space there. However, the monitoring continues even after they find no nefarious activity linked to Trump. LINK
- Oct. 31, 2016 - FBI director Comey sees no clear link between Russia and Team Trump. LINK
- Nov. 8, 2016 - Trump wins! Lefties everywhere cry and freak out. For the next 8 weeks, all we hear is the Russians hacked the election for Trump. LINK
- Nov. 17, 2016 - NSA director, Mike Rogers, refused to suggest the Russians hacked the DNC with the purpose of helping Trump win. He has a meeting with Trump at Trump Tower, the details of which are unknown. He is fired by Obama the next day. LINK
- Jan. 4, 2017 - 17 days from leaving office, Obama suspiciously signs an EO that permits NSA intercepted communications to be disseminated to all 16 other intelligence agencies. LINK
- Jan. 10, 2017 - Buzzfeed releases the "Fake Dossier" that was created by Christopher Steele and circulated around Washington intelligence agencies by submission of RINO John McCain back in October. LINK This dossier has been quite easily debunked as fake. LINK
- Jan. 10, 2017 - CNN, and virtually every news outlet in existence, suddenly links to the BuzzFeed article and dossier and contends that Trump is some Russian Mancurian Candidate planted and corrupted by Putin and the Russian Mafia nearly a decade ago. LINK Every Lefty nut on the planet now insists that Trump is a Russian spy and "literally Hitler" and will bring on Armageddon. To this day, most Lefties still believe the dossier is real.
- Jan. 13, 2017 - 7 days from leaving office, Obama suspiciously signs an EO that changes the Attorney General succession downline so that it removes a Trump appointee (Deputy Assistant AG Dana Boente), and makes 3 consecutive Obama appointee's the next in line if anything were to happen to Jeff Sessions, Trump's AG appointment. Luckily, Trump noticed the change and reversed it before Sessions recused himself from investigating any Russia-Trump ties. LINK This just reeks of shady BS.

And that's pretty much where we stand.
I encourage everyone to also read this: LINK It describes in great detail (pretty technical) what all we know about the public evidence that the Russians hacked the DNC... and especially how it's ALL circumstantial and unsubstantiated with real proof.
The only thing we do know is that the DNC hired cyber-security firm, CrowdStrike, who suggests the hackers were Russian GRU affiliates, however they showed no indisputable proof, AND they wiped all the servers and computers involved and not a single government agency was able to examine them.
And lastly, in all this mess, there is actually not one single shred of evidence anywhere that suggests Trump or his surrogates had any actual involvement in anything. Zero, zip, nada, nothing.

shite, let's just be real about this. Manafort probably was talking to the Russians during the election. So here's what's going to happen. Congress is going to wag their dicks around for three years, have some hearings, come out with proof Manafort was talking to the Russians. TRUMP says "I am a shocked! Good thing I fired him." Everyone shrugs. Chuck Schumer melts. The Dems nominate some incorrigible retard to run in 2020 who then loses to Trump. The end.

You should revise this. You should add that Mike Rogers went to Trump tower to meet with Trump (people still don't know why). After he met with Trump he was fired immediately.

I am actually surprised Crowdstrike engaged in this nonsense. They are pretty well respected in the IT/infosec world. They actually sell an endpoint protection software package, so I wonder if they used fearmongering tactics just to scare the DNC into purchasing their product.

I wouldn't expect a ton of discussion though because the left are allergic to facts.

Question: why the Russians? Muslims and China represent much more recent and dangerous threats to the US. Why did Russia get chosen as the Boogeyman?
