I believe that we should mind our own business, and if we must, use diplomacy to quell disagreements. Only if diplomacy fails should we unleash hell on our enemies until they decide they are done taking the punishment. There should be no rebuilding, and no holding back. If war must be fought, then there should be no holding back until our objectives are met and the enemy completely conceeds.

That being said, i agree with most of your points but if we wouldn’t have gotten involved with WWII, we would all be speaking German right now.

We had opportunities prior to Batista and did nothing.

Some say it was because Britain owed the USA lots of money.

Not really. The main force pushing the US into The Great War was the banking companies of JP Morgan and the Rothschilds. JP Morgan in particular had financed the war efforts of the entente and when it looked like Germany was going to win that was when the bankers did everything they could to get the US involved and protect their interest payments from France and Great Britain. It is well documented that JP Morgan went to great lengths to sway public opinion into entering the war by buying several newspapers and controlling the message.

When people like me advocate for less interventionism we are often criticized and called isolationist. People say our policies of isolationism led to WWII.

I say BS.

At the turn of the 20th century there was an attitude of moral superiority across the USA. People like Teddy Rosevelt wanted war and wanted the USA to build an empire. TR couldn't wait for a war with the Spaniards and when he got it his Navy was very effective in the Philippines. After the surrender of the Spaniards we basically ran the islands and killed hundreds of thousands of Phillipino natives. (read about the Philippine-American war here LINK)

It is this interventionist action that put us in the sights of the imperialist in Japan.

Latter we were forced to intervene in WWI, our second interventionist act. During WWI Japan used the war to grab territory setting up a confrontation with the USA that led to Pearl Harbor.

There is no question the acts of the US in Spanish American War and in WWI led to our involvement in WWII and all the subsequent, almost non stop wars we have been in since.

It is time to change.

There is no virtue in interventionism and no sin in military isolationism.

Maybe write a letter to your favorite GOP legistlators and tell them to stop stealing money from the taxpayers and giving it to the military industrial complex

Remember when Obama promised to get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and shut down Gitmo? Yeah. Good times.

Even Barack Obama couldn't stop the real deep state. The industrial complex rules all.

Bush set up a war, helping all of his cronies get unfair contracts in the Middle East and created a giant mess. You can't just pull out in the middle of a mess like that.

Obama got shafted
