Spectrum is having an outage in Indianapolis right now. My wife asked if this is the start of martial law. I told her that T-Mobile is working just fine, so if it was something big, they would cut off cell towers, too.

I looked at the Spectrum outage map and WOW! A significant portion of the country is out. Anyone else having issues? Louisiana is surrounded by outages.

They have been giving away free internet to kids without access to it in rural areas so they could do their school work.

They probably overloaded the system playing xbox and downloading games.

No issues here in Southeast Louisiana. It has been taking longer for the Firestick to boot up.

- Spectrum goes down.
- Others follow suit
- Everyone gets on their wireless carriers and uses their hotspots
- Overloads the towers and congests the networks

Not saying any of that will happen, but if you wanted to create mass hysteria, that’s how you’d do it.

I wouldn't try to break into our home while she's here. She's a shoot first and ask questions later kinda gal...

I thought it was Marshall Law around here.

Or is that on the OT?

Squirrels in my attic chewed through my AT&T fiber optic. Went out Sunday and technician just left after repairing. Not sure if the squirrels are Chinese agents, but I’m keeping my eye on them.

Last time we had a major outage, some dumbass severed one of the long haul fiber cables with a backhoe.

No problems here.

With that said I see the crews in my neighborhood installing fiber. I signed up for 1 Gbps up and download speeds and will drop Spectrum soon. Currently I only get 200 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload with Specturm. Working from home the slow upload speeds really slow me down due to the fact that I frequently use a couple of structural and hydraulic modeling programs on our company server.

The martial law 10 days of darkness internet pushes is why we can't have nice things; and why there is grocery store hoarding. Can someone tell the nuts to back off of this? It is dangerous to spread this information people should be held accountable for this nonsense. Enough already. Even Alex Jones said the movement is dangerous. When AJ says this, it's realbad.

Spectrum working fine here.

Get two providers. Plug them in into something like a Unifi USG and configure failover.

Now your internet will ALMOST never go down unless power does. Or if BGP gets wrecked somewhere major.
