I will vote and do my part, but I just don't get worked up over things that I cannot change directly. I alone cannot pick who wins what election, but I do vote and do my part.
My kids and grandkids will be setup with the land and things we have here. If they want to live in a Big City they can, but they will always have a place to go if they need to. When my wife and I are gone, they will have this place and they can do with it what they wish.

You aren't thinking about potenital bigger picture issues. What if their schools, jobs etc become communist hell holes? Just because you may have land in a conservative area for now doesn't mean it will always be that way.
