We don’t know the victim’s state of mind because he’s dead and there is no declaration by him of his intent to kill them.

And yet a citizens arrest is not what they did. They chased him down in the vehicle and committed several aggravated assaults in the process. They were well beyond a citizens arrest at that point.
Even if a citizens arrest is generally proper under the circumstances, the citizen does not have the authority to pursue once the “suspect” flees in order to apprehend like an LEO does.

azkiger continues to be willfully ignorant of those facts. azkiger will tell you that those are the fathers words so maybe the son somehow magically knew, while ignoring the fact the father informed and recruited the son, so the son is even further removed from immediacy of knowledge. the mcmichaels own statements damned their defense.

How is it relevant?
Their actions go far beyond what would constitute a legal citizens arrest, regardless of what Arbery did or stole.

True. But what is likely is that all three people involved in this are shitheads. The two white guys had a confederate flag sticker; they were almost certainly racist assholes. And the black guy was almost certainly a thief. So the black guy is dead. If the white guys go to prison for thirty years or so this will have ended perfectly by my way of thinking.
