You came in here with your chest puffed out and full of bluster, but have been proven wrong at every turn. Good strategy to turn to the "snowflake" insults.

I thought the money came from Trump’s attorney per Stormy herself. So if reimbursed by trump couldn’t he have simply added that in to legal fees? No separate disclosure necessary?

It seems like this is a straw...and it’s fraying from how often it’s been grasped.

Nope. But keep denying the facts given in the links if that makes you feel better about yourself.

The Office of the United States Trade Representative says the United States has a trade surplus with Canada.

As does the BEA.

It's explained in the article linked by the snowflake. Are you too lazy to read it?
It's pissing me off that you are making me agree with tigerindc.

Sorry man, I would include services as well when looking at trade, just like the executive office of the POTUS does.

As your OP link says, it turns out Trump was right. We have a $17 billion/year deficit with Canada. Thank you for confirming how wise Trump is.....

How do you compute a $17 billion/year deficit dumb arse. The article stated, "Well, sir, you're actually right. We have no deficit but that doesn't include energy and timber . . . And when you do, we lose $17 billion a year.' It's incredible."

So your gotcha fail thread #89 turned into you proving Trump is a stable genius.

Thanks for confirming that for us

The article isn't written very well and is somewhat confusing. I had to read it a few times to unravel what they were saying, and it is saying Trump was wrong and we run a trade surplus with Canada. The guy Trump quotes referencing the energy and timber is a Canadian guy.

Every link I've clicked in this thread confirms we run a trade surplus with Canada. I haven't denied that a single time.

Maybe this will help you calm down:
quote:

But Statistics Canada data show it’s Canada with the surplus in goods and services, totaling C$18.8 billion ($14.6 billion) last year.
So, Canada's own measure shows they have a trade surplus with the U.S.

If it's a surplus for Canada, that means it's a deficit for the U.S.

Yeah, I read that as well. Each country is touting a surplus.

We do have a Trade Deficit with Canada, as we do with almost all countries (some of them massive). P.M. Justin Trudeau of Canada, a very good guy, doesn’t like saying that Canada has a Surplus vs. the U.S.(negotiating), but they do...they almost all do...and that’s how I know!

And Now Trump as expected, is doubling down on the lie.

I'm not the one lobbing insults in every post, so I don't think I'm the one that needs to calm down.

And cool. 69 posts into the thread we now have 2 sources that claim something different than the original link. Took long enough.

I'm pretty ignorant on trade policy, so I'm not going to debate it. Up until your link, there were no links that claimed the US had a trade deficit with Canada.

Proving there are 3 types of lies, 1) lies, 2) damn lies and, 3) statistics.

Back to the point of the OP, Trump was sure, based on our history of unfavorable trade agreements with our trading partners, that we have a trade deficit with Canada. He didn't know for a fact but his intuition told him that had to be the case.

The OP wants to make it look like Trump lied about it. Instead, the data shows Trump was likely correct when it comes to the trading of goods, like aluminum and steel (and lumber and energy products), which was the topic of the meeting, not software licenses.

Trudeau's own government's statistics say Trump was right and Trudeau was wrong.

Why? The meeting was to discuss the trade imbalance involving goods like aluminum and steel. They weren't there to discuss consulting services.
