Every person has lied, that doesn't mean we don't expose lies when they are told.

We must examine every lie that POTUS tells and treat them with the seriousness it deserves. I think saying something factually untrue in order to publicly disagree with a critical ally is important. You don't agree?

Tell us what you think this "does" in this particular instance.

im sure world leaders everywhere will love knowing that the President of the United States will take a stand based on random shite they made up on the fly during official state meetings. obviously that gives us a lot of credibility.

Exactly. And he just admitted to making it up before he asked someone to look into it.

As I recall you never held Obama to that standard of scrutiny. Why?

If Trump just admitted that he just makes stuff up in meetings, why would an ally or and adversary believe anything else he has to say? Wouldn't you agree his credibility with world leaders is important?

You said the Trade point Trump was trying to make at the fundraiser was about steel and aluminum.
Link?

I said the discussion between Trump and Trudeau centered around steel and aluminum, and it was because it was related to renegotiating NAFTA's loopholes and the new tariffs on those products.

At times, of course. I would also agree that there's times when it's beneficial to keep them guessing. Seems like that's the clear truthful message he's sending here.

Trump admitted to his donors that when he spoke to Trudeau that he told him the US has a trade deficit with Canada even though he didn't know for sure.

Fact Check: The US does not have a trade deficit with Canada.

So you're sticking with that and ignoring the other facts that show there is a deficit with Canada, even according to Canada's numbers?

When you do that all you're doing is letting everyone know you don't tell the truth.
