Before someone comes and calls me a theocrat, just know that this is what we used to do in this country, and now that we don't just take a look at Gen Z (30% identify as LGBT and over 50% have a mental illness)
This ^^^^ is "Fundamental Transformation."

When did we do this in this country and when did we stop?

we need to get away from talking in terms of "Judeo Christian values" and refer to them for what they are; moral and ethical standards that transcend religion and are essential for a civil society to exist and thrive - Western values. Take the Deities and rituals out of the equation and just look at the teachings, like the 10 commandments as an example.

You shall make no idols.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
Keep the Sabbath day holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet.

What would that accomplish? At the working level values are all subjective. Doesn't matter if they came from an ancient text, the Easter Bunny, John Locke or your own imagination, here on earth they're all nothing but opinions. They don't "transcend" anything.

US education history is actually very interesting. Elementary school kids have always been taught by women. HS was not only mostly males but there was no 12th grade. You graduated after 11th and went to work.
There was no minimum drop out age in the old days. If you were gonna be a farmer HS was a waste of precious labor time.
At Centenary I learned some interesting stuff about college in the 1800s. The average freshman was 15 years old. The kid was professionally tutored at home and only rich kids went to college. They graduated college around age 19 and went to work, got married at 21 and started a family at 22.
The exception was medical school which delayed things a year or two.
Classes were held Mon thru Sat. Sunday was the only day off and church attendance was mandatory. Class times were sun-up to sundown.
And very few women attended college. Most colleges didn't allow them because they'd be a distraction to the boys.
There were very few electives. Most courses were mandatory. Even Latin. French was also big as it was considered the language of international business.
There were no fraternities. They were called Literary Societies and you joined by your major field of study.
Graduation ceremonies lasted for a week with top seniors giving speeches to the throngs having picnics on the lawn. Most speeches lasted an hour and if it was only in English you were considered a moron.

Agreed. Especially since there is nothing compatible with Judeo and Christian. What an awful mkultra term that was managed to sneak into popular lexicon.

More kids should be homeschooled.
Community groups started to become a thing during covid. where 4-5 groups of parents hire a teacher to teach neighborhood kids.
Public schools need to die.

No, they need to be taken over.
There is nothing wrong with the concept of public schooling. This is a stupid conservative idea or private vs public rather than the application of willpower and imposition.
Conservatives love to run away from the fight. Sad!

In our environment, frick year there is.
Anything controlled by "voter" or interest groups needs to die out of be taken over by a better model.
