The difference is Nagan broke the law.
Joe was enforcing it.
Joe was rewarded for racially profiling and arresting without cause, and then breaking the law by defying a judge's order to stop. Get your facts straight.

Just keep doubling down on stupid.
You did realize he was denied a jury trial, right? And even after all that the only thing that bitch judge could get him on was obstruction, right?
No. No you didn't. Because you're an idiot sheep

Cheff v. Schnackenberg says he isn't guaranteed one. But why let facts get in your way?

CNN has elevated The Culture Wars Item Outrage Du Jour above the national interest. Fox and MSNBC, to a much lesser extent , have done the same thing. CNN has just abandoned all journalistic pretense and unapologetically operates as straight Progressive Agitprop.
The decision that principled liberals (assuming their are any left) have to make, is do they really want to continue to empower CNN to stay in this hyper-destructive mode of constant warfare against the other half the country, when it not only poisons the American well, but sends otherwise reluctant people running to the Trump coalition?

quote:Right. Prosectors are usually not punished for deliberate overreach or impediments to a fair trial either. That makes neither acceptable, or Constitutionally justified.
You usually don't get one for contempt of court charges.
The potential conflict of interest rising from a judge both accusing and sentencing the defendant in contempt cases is ridiculous. It should NEVER occur!

granting the executive the presidential pardon is a check and balance on courts who overreach and abuse their power.
whether or not Sheriff Joe's actions were discriminatory or not is irrelevant here. if you believe they were not, then you would view his conviction as clear cut political abuse by an Obama appointed judge.

It's a court order. You can appeal and so on. Do you really think that a jury trial every time an order is disobeyed would be good for the system?

The only people who should care about the pardon are Arizona residents? Why?
And if that's the case, shouldn't I apply that same logic to people affected by Harvey? The only people who should care are Texas residents.

Nonsequitor? You're the one who brought up people outing how stupid they are. I was just reminding us of one of the many times you did just that.
