Did the kid play any sports or lift weights? He looked a little frail.
Boys need to learn life skills on a pretend battlefield like a football field or wrestling mat.

I don't blame the parents either. Their kid went off to college and was radicalized. Not the first or the last it's happened to. The mother said that the son and father would get into heated political arguments. I am probably being bias because the parents are MAGA though.

Sounds like it happened well before college.

I’m starting to think most of these kids prolly don’t like the weekend hunting trips with PawPaw
Sucks for them because my son definitely does and it’s awesome!
There are signs early to see one would think

right but you give them the best odds.
two parent right wing home, church goers/believers, and involved in school and or sports for a future/career.
seeing that pissed away is soul crushing when so many kids have deadbeat parents, no morals/values upbringing and zero future.

You always have to connect and do fun shite with your kids all the time.
Might seem crazy, but this is indeed the evironment

It really is scary to think about as a parent. Now you have to parent them through college. I seriously want my kids to go to TCU or even maybe Liberty. Schools that will actually emphasize Christian living.

It’s sad to think of how brutal it must have been for them (his dad especially) after finding out it was him.
Do you turn your own son in?
Do you let him kill himself or let him go to trial to get the death penalty?
No good answers, their lives and his life are destroyed either way.
Kid had a family who loved him, sweet car, college scholarship to a good school…how does he get so hateful that he’s willing to destroy his life, his family’s lives, Charlie’s life, Charlie’s family’s lives? And for what?

I agree. He's a 22 year old adult. He made his decision. If one of my kids did this shite, I would disown them. I could never imagine doing this now or as a 22-year old. I'm serious. If you're that black-hearted and evil, you're no offspring of mine!

Idk, seems weird to me

Brother, it’s one thing to remove yourself from society because of something like this.
This is way deeper than that though.. The weight of something this life altering is essentially a paralysis of the psyche, it will never escape their mind.
That’s what breaks my heart, not the risk of being recognized or confronted in public.

It’s sad that he was more worried about how his dad would react if he lost his grandpa’s rifle than how his dad would feel about him murdering a guy with it just because he didn’t agree with his opinions. I do feel sad for the parents, too, especially since they turned him in to the authorities.
No one texts like that. The texts were planned out or faked. This all stinks.

I was afraid to have children,I’ve known too many people that end up with a child that turns out bad while their other kids turn out fine.
No rhyme or reason for it.
Children can bring great joy or be one’s worst nightmare.

Porn will corrupt anyone, especially the earlier they get hooked on it.
No one is born gay, which means every kid could be "turned" by the combination of porn and left wing indoctrination. That's why the left wants all this in schools, because they know they can turn kids.
It's not like he was born into bestiality either, was 1000% converted into darker and darker things on the internet in his mid teens.
Those parents still paid for his apartment even when he was obviously going off the deep end.
They very much did not watch what he was looking at, they did not raise him to guard his own mind, nor give him a reason to.

That's probability at work.
You can be doing all the things to rear children in a good way and still have one that doesn't turn out well.
That doesn't mean you give up though because doing a good job with the kids increases the probability that they will turn out well.
It's just that the laws of probability are that even though the majority of them work out, there's always going to be some outliers and that happens no matter what.

From everything I’ve seen/heard, they seem to be salt of the Earth, conservative people
We don’t really know anything about them or what went on inside the walls of their home.
I have a very hard time believing two normal Christian devout conservative caring parents can just so happen to raise a psychopathic deviant murderer that ends up like this kid. I suppose it’s possible with mental health issues or some very dark manipulation by social media and drugs, but it’s still hard to accept. I would think (at absolutely no necessary fault of the parents) some sort of traumatic event would need to precede the horrific events in this kids life. But I suppose I too know plenty of people with one messed up kid despite their best efforts. That’s terrifies me as a parent.
Life is brutal. And times like this remind us of how brutal and barbaric and evil this world really is despite our best efforts to pretend otherwise.
