Library does a shitload around here for kids. Crafts, bringing in musical talent, and knowledge courses in STEM and wildlife (for example)

So you are OK with Google, and other corporate entities controlling what information you have access to? Unless you have access to independent databases which are usually not free, it can be impossible to find unbiased information using typical search engines.Because of search engine optimization paid for by corporations it is impossible to find information on many corporations that was not put their by the corporation itself.

The two public libraries in my area are basically homeless shelters. People use it as a Motel to piss, shite, sleep and use the Internet.
Public Libraries smell like arse. And the books? Who the frick wants to touch them and get the Bubonic Plague? Half of them have been in someone's bathroom.

Back in the day books were more expensive.
However even now we wouldn't have been able to afford the amount I read as a child.
Libraries are great. Many now have audio books you can borrow over the internet and listen. Many of their functions can be done over the internet.
However libraries are still great places to go and to have.
It's a shame most libraries are haven for crazy liberal people.
