John Cornyn was the U.S. Senator from Texas and lead Republican negotiator on Biden's Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022.
This progressive agenda bill included provisions related to red flag laws.
He worked closely with Biden to support incentivizing states to adopt Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) laws through grant funding.
Senator John Cornyn worked closely with progressive Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Representatives Henry Cuellar and Tony Gonzales on the Bipartisan Border Solutions Act (2022) which was introduced by Senator John Cornyn.
This legislation aimed to address the surge in migrants at the southern border by establishing regional processing centers, improving asylum processing with pilot programs, increasing staffing for immigration courts and asylum officers, enhancing care for unaccompanied children, and improving coordination between federal agencies and local communities to aid Biden's mass immigration.
