Im old, I did not understand ads, what the product was they were selling or the actors....
I figgered that #1, I didn't want to think that hard and #2, they weren't aiming ads at me if I had to think that hard to understand.

I just don't get why so many people get so excited about super bowl stuff that doesn't have anything to do with football. But the womenfolk seem to be more interested. I watched it with her for a minute, and it occurred to me that it was simply really bad poetry spoken, nearly incoherently, to a beat. It seems they used to have that back in the 50s and 60s, only they called it "Beat Poetry". To me bad poetry is still bad poetry, and not really music.

I'm old too and I didn't waste any of my remaining time watching the so called "Super Bowl". Life is too short to waste it on watching a bunch of extremely over compensated jackasses play games. It is especially a waste to watch the so called half time "Entertainment. Glad that I found better things to do with the day.

Maybe it's that I wasn't paying attention to a lot of them, but I don't understand what some of you were not understanding about the commercials. The vast majority of them seemed to be commercials for cars (a lot of them electric), online betting, metaverse, online brokerages (with a decent amount of crypto).

I watch two nfl games this season. And only because my wife wanted was watching.
That said I hardly paid attention to any of the commercials and none of the halftime show.
What am I missing? One of the commercials was for an electric car. The commercial started out showing two electric devices that an out of juice in the middle of their jobs. Seems stupid to advertise an electric and point out twice that you are likely to get stranded.
