prep·per. (prep'?r) n. One who prepares for possible dangers such as natural disasters, societal collapse, or nuclear war, as by stockpiling necessary supplies or acquiring survival skills.

Is anyone else feeling the increasing urge to prep? Are you picking up a "shite might be happening soon" vibe?

Like an animal before a tsunami, I feel the need to head to higher ground.

I'm just curious what other folks are thinking, feeling and hearing.

Prepping for what?

If you're prepping for fear of any sort of domestic warfare, you should probably turn off whatever sources of news you're watching. This would include staying away from TD for a couple of weeks.

Selling fear for clicks, eyes, and votes is a lucrative business. Go live your life without media, of any sort, for 2 weeks and enjoy how much less stressed, worried, and anxious you feel.

I've done it before as a sort of soul cleanser and it really helps to put things in perspective.

Prepping is rather futile.
So you gather in your hoard and get ready for the apocalyptic disaster.
Then disaster strikes.
You are sitting nice and pretty. Then your siblings show up with their kids and your parents. Maybe a few friends that know your ways show up.
What are you going to do? If they are really staving your probably going to have to share or kill them.

I once bought a house from a prepper lady.
She had about 500 rolls of toilet paper and 200 cans of coffee.

I suppose she planned to filter the coffee with toilet paper and, I guess, eat the toilet paper.

I generally think short term when I think prepping. A month or two.

I've seen enough Walking Dead to be ready of a zombie apocalypse. Unless it's 28 Days Later zombies then I'm fricked

Short term is the right way to go. Then when you run out of shite, just go take some other schmuck’s shite. Rinse, repeat.

Be nice to the cat lady down the street. She may share a few when you are starving.
