I think its why the Dems are going so hard after the illegal vote, cause they realize they are losing more and more people like yourself everyday.

You will probably never see this response as deep as this thread is already but here goes anyway.

I work in chemical manufacturing and have worked with a good balance of black men during my career. And much like you say they have been men of family and character similar to most all of my white friends and coworkers. What black men need the most is a good job and/or education that lead to a good job - not a handout or program or promise of a better tomorrow. That has in most cases in my experience led to personal happiness, good fortune, and a feeling of inclusion. This satisfies most people of all walks.

Now for my bitchin. Since the 80's on the Black Community leadership has slowly sold out the constituency by cementing themselves in power and delivering the black block vote to the Democratic Party despite getting nothing but lip service in return. These Black Leaders have retained their seat at the table but have reaped no reward and have abdicated the social direction of the Black Community to the Democratic leadership, i.e. more temporary handouts to the poor and a continued erosion of the family unit. Meanwhile the Dems are supporting NAFTA in contrast to the Labor Unions desires and bringing in more undocumented workers that displace young black men and women in the workforce. Both of these issues erode the jobs and opportunity for the Black Community. The Dems are more concerned about the fraction of a percent of LGBT than they are about Blacks or Labor Unions.

What I was glad to see in your post is that you have woke up and gone independent. This is the best thing that could happen for young black men - quit being told what to do with your vote and figure it out for yourself.

I don't like them but this is a true statement from Rick and Bubba from many years ago.

The problem with our country today is we have generations of men raised by women.

Lots of single mothers do the best they can but home needs a mother and father.

I’m an older white guy. Divorced but stayed married because of my two children.
They are both grown and live with me now.
I love that they are with me. But I have learned first hand that it is almost impossible for a single mom to raise children and support them (income) at the same time.
I have the utmost respect for any single woman and children that did it the right way.
I also know that the family unit is the most important thing for children and parents, and society.
All this alternative BS is BS.
I work, go to the grocery, cook, wash clothes.....
If my kids were babies they might be running around in the street naked!
