More People Are Single
What a crock of horseshite.
Dumbest part of your post. So not only are you blaming the government but now women kicked those black men out of their homes so they can start a new relationship with the government. Those poor guys were wanting to be a part of their family until somehow the women in the government made them forget entirely about their responsibilities as a father. Sure.
It's funny you mention the sixties in the seventies because not only where we putting drugs in black neighborhoods but we were also sending a lot of them off to Vietnam
"African-Americans also complained that they were disproportionately drafted, assigned to combat units and killed in Vietnam. Statistics from the first three years of the war support these complaints. African-Americans represented approximately 11 percent of the civilian population. Yet in 1967, they represented 16.3 percent of all draftees and 23 percent of all combat troops in Vietnam. In 1965, African-Americans accounted for nearly 25 percent of all combat deaths in Vietnam."
quote:
Big government and feminism has destroyed the black family. The government came to black women and said that if you kick the black man out of the house, we will give you all of the benefits you need. This was in the 70s. They have been happily married every since. The Democratic party wont allow this marriage to end. They need votes from black women. In the 30s and 40s, black americans had a higher marriage rate than white americans. It wasnt until the late 60s and early 70s when welfare was introduced where a requirement was no man needed to be in the home.

1964.. 7%.. the 'war on drugs' ~1971. over the next three decades the incarceration rate increased from 190/100,000 people to ~920/100,000 people.

You.... uh....
Do know how the draft worked.....
Right?
I’ll give you a hint..... race had absolutely ZERO to do with what day you were born on. And then, later on, race had ZERO to do with your initials.
So pray tell. How the frick is the draft racist against blacks

That is pretty much a textbook white elitist liberal response. Ebb stuck the landing.

No my friend what we have is an Incel.....either black or white but my moneys on white who can’t get laid and it’s everyones fault but his own.
I don't know what validation he's seeking here by attacking Black women due to his failed attempts at dating them. Does he think the posters here are going to help his relationships? I doubt they'll introduce their daughters/ sisters.
Calling women children 'bastards' is sure to endear him to the ladies

I am still trying to figure out how the draft is racist.....now an ability of get a deferral is something different but I would submit it is a socioeconomic bias and not a racial bias though.

Yeah. Me too. I’m really confused on how randomly selecting date of births out of a jar could possibly be racist.
But hey. It’s ebb. So nothing that sky screamer says makes a lick of sense

quote:Yes, it was finally abolished in the 70s. Some of the lawsuits weren't decided until the mid 80s.
A practice that has since been abolished.
quote:
Also, it's not about white folks' approval--it's about two parent households being a vital component of a demographic's socioeconomic survival. That applies to blacks, whites, everyone.
The politics of respectability are about pleasing white folks. This is why Rosa Parks was hand-picked to be the aggrieved back-of-the-bus rider instead of some of the other ladies who it happened to before.
Also, almost all measures of black well-being have improved over the past 25 years (most notably, the level of violence and teen pregnancy) even as "two parent households" haven't increased. I'm dubious about the direct connection always casually drawn.
quote:
The minute a black person says they're not (or no longer) a leftist, one of the first plays by leftists of all stripes (or racists in general in the case of the so-called "alt-right") is to assert that such convictions are only born of the desire to curry favor from white people.
I think you've missed my point. I had no intention at all to assert that the OP was trying to curry favor with whites. I'm just saying that blaming it on 2-parent households misses the mark. Back during the supposedly halcyon days of the mid-century that whites are always referring to (when blacks were supposedly doing so much better family-wise), they suffered punishing abuse at the hands of whites and the white-dominated system.
quote:
This is not a factual statement. Blacks weren't "punished" for maintaining nuclear families
They were not rewarded for it.
quote:
Abysmal argument. I urge you to re-couch your rebuttal. The way you have chosen to couch it is not intellectually tenable.
Just because you say so? Nah. Handing literally trillions of wealth to one group while intentionally and outright denying it to another is WAY more devastating than single moms.

I’m interested to hear the response here. How exactly WAS the draft racist?
It was certainly sexist. Not nearly enough women died in Vietnam to be considered equal.

An absolute fact that the Democratic Party has failed to take account for, or even recognize.
