The whole thing doesn't really make rational sense. The notion that you identify as a man or woman and that is your most important distinguishing characteristic. Then also suggesting that gender is just an arbitrary social construct is the type of circular logic that feminist and queer theory use that most of us progressive minded folks have ignored or just head nodded for years. Though now this has caught onto the mainstream I think a lot of us wish folks would have spoken up sooner to stop this nonsense.
