I don’t see what good this does but it was passed almost unanimously through the Florida legislature. DeSantis wouldn’t have been able to stop it

Either Ron was ineffective and too distracted to get ahead of this bill prior to voting

Or he was OK with this bill so he didn't bother to get ahead of it prior to voting

This Florida bill is small potatoes. 155-2.

Trump wants tariffs on pretty much all imports if he is elected. If you want to speak out about someone who is anti free market capitalism, you need to start there.

Not even close to accurate either. Lowest unemployment in modern history and real wage growth was UP!

Like I said.. Go tell the person that got really great wage growth or a job that his washing machine will go up $10. They will laugh you off your soap box.

They are not close to the same.

- Ron is picking winners and losers based on who is giving. Like with Tesla being excluded and with the car lots giving a crap ton of money.

- Trump isn't picking winners and losers. It's applied evenly.

And that's just 1 major difference

51 Billion dollars is what Trump cost the American consumer for buying products that were affordable.

That will show them!

That meme would make more sense if Trump actually gave a damn about America

Wrong.

He chose the American consumer as the loser.

"American first."

Tesla got an exclusion from this

It’s worse than that and the focus on Tesla is a distraction technique we need to stop helping spread.

The entire electric car industry got an exclusion. This is government sanctioned bullshite meant to hurt the fossil fuel market. Anyone who supports it is not a free market capitalist or conservative and should be rightly called out for it.

It’s worse than a subsidy. It’s government unnecessary intrusion into the market. We have enough laws on the books. I’d support any candidate who pledges not to sign anything into law and not to increase spending by a penny no matter what.

How many states have similar laws? What is the law in Louisiana? Funny how the Populist OP posted a CBS article to talk about conservatism.

... agree it is a bad law pushed by the wealthy dealerships. But, the LIBERAL/RADICAL LEFT *CBS* article does not put it in context in relation to other states, and it makes is slanted as if Tesla was the only company (because they hate Elon Muck). Does GM and Ford sell direct now? Are there more companies than Rivian, Polestar, Lucid and Tesla selling direct?

"However, any person or entity that doesn't already have independent dealerships can sell cars directly, according to the law. That includes electric vehicle makers such as Rivian, Polestar, Lucid and Tesla.

States including Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas also ban automakers from selling directly to drivers, but Florida's law, which takes effect July 1, is unique in effectively carving out an exception for certain companies.

Tesla has fought for and won the right to sell directly to customers in Delaware and Michigan. The Elon Musk-owned company is currently challenging Louisiana's ban, calling it "protectionist, anti-competitive and inefficient," Reuters reported."

Figures Don't lie, But Liars Sure Can Figure.

Direct Sales allowed? ... meaning the so called Conservative Red States want free market Capitalism...

Alabama - NO
Arkansas - NO
Kentucky - NO
Louisiana - NO
Oklahoma - NO
South Carolina - NO
Texas - NO
Georgia - "Under Georgia law certain manufacturers may engage in direct-sales if certain conditions are met. "
Mississippi - Limited Direct Sales
Tennessee - Limited Direct Sales

NCSL:
LINK

SO ... the real question is ... does FL allow more direct sales than any other South / Southeast state ... and what other Southeast states take a more conservative approach?
