FBI UCR stats: LINK

Homicides by rifle
2010 - 367
2011 - 332
2012 - 298
2013 - 285
2014 - 248

Same time period, homicides by hands, feet, fists:
2010 - 769
2011 - 751
2012 - 707
2013 - 687
2014 - 660

The gun control argument

If you are too stupid to see it isn't about gun control, but about stripping away individual liberty to further control you then you deserve what you get. Another reason to never visit Illinois...not that there was a reason in the first place.

But but but, just look at how the increased gun control has lowered the bare handed death rates!!

Wow Homey: I thought all this time that as a lefty, you would give up your guns happily. I am proud of you.
Good news though: such a law would get shot down by the scotus so fast (pun intended), due to it’s unconstitutionality that it would make the head spin.

So how do they plan on rounding up all the AR’s that are currently out there?

According to this bill this is an “assault weapon” because it can take a magazine of more than 10 rounds.

I have no idea. But the bill states that if you're caught in possession of one...crime.

A felony is, by law, more than a year in prison. Just for possessing a firearm with a 10+ mag capacity, or with pistol grips, or with an adjustable stock, etc.

But but but the left said they’d never take our guns.

It'll be ruled unconstitutional if challenged.

All semi-auto rifles?

ETA: this another stupid bill that bans cosmetic features. So a browning bar is still legal but an AR-15 is banned. Shows just how dumb these people are.

So if it is illegal to buy and sell, how does one remove the gun from their possession?

Looks like you have 180 days (maybe 300) to get rid of them after the law is passed.

If you inherit such guns they give you 30 days.

But anything after that you’re a felon.
