We are allowed to pur down pets and other ani also that are suffering because its humane.
However, everyone loses their shite when something like this is talked about for humans.
I've watched family members waste away from cancer and dementia, and I can assure you, they would've rather died peaceful with dignity than to put their loved ones through the end of their illness.
Thats why I can understand those who take their own lives before it gets to that stage.
This should be an option for those that are terminally I'll IF they want it.

The main problem is socialized countries doing this to avoid treating patients and saving money. They should make all treatment options available before doing this imo.

I used to firmly be against this sort of thing but completely changed my stance after watching several close family members struggle in the final 6+ months of their lives. And by "struggle", I mean living in complete misery and asking the Lord to take them.
Like everything, evil people will use this improperly for whatever self gain but the act itself isn't always evil.
And yes, my loves ones know what I want should I have advanced ALS or something. Communicating your wishes allows them to not feel like the decision was theirs and carry guilt.

Going back to Kevorkian I've never settled this in my own mind of 'good' or 'bad'. There's the whole religious aspect to it; and I can't ignore what has been done in the name of any messiah or prophet historically. And then there's the execution, no pun intended, of such programs- there's room for fraud here... and there's no coming back from that.
I do wonder if a state can do this however or it requires a federal action.
If the state can decide abortion by passing laws then it stands to reason it can do the same here provided the legislature passes a law.

After watching my grandma suffer thru two bouts of breast cancer, a broken hip, and finally Alzheimer’s… I fully support this. Many times she said she was ready to go while she still had her faculties.
