@grok

Yes, this matches the Center for Immigration Studies' analysis of 2021 Census SIPP data, where 39% of native-born households, about 52% of naturalized citizen-led households, and 59% of non-citizen households used at least one major welfare program.

Welfare needs to end.

non-citizen households

Again, the claim was that illegals were getting welfare. They are not, They do not qualify. This fact was not debunked. The CIS conflated a household with an illegal in it with the citizens who reside in that household. Citizens can qualify for welfare, illegals cannot.

If you are interested in facts about the data

Except, I described exactly how it happens. Benefits like SNAP are "given" to the citizen children, and the adult illegals spend it. This is from the Georgia Peach Care Website:
quote:

To be eligible for PeachCare for Kids®, your child(ren) must be a U.S. citizen or fall within an eligible legal immigrant category. Original documents may be required in order to verify the status of the child(ren) for whom you are applying. Parents are not required to verify their own citizenship or immigration status. For more information, go to Citizenship Verification.
To be eligible for PeachCare for Kids®, your child(ren) must not have current coverage, or be eligible for Medicaid.

Medical expressly permitted illegals:
quote:

The type of Medi-Cal coverage you can get depends on your age and immigration status:
Children (0–18 years old) can get full Medi-Cal coverage, no matter their immigration status.
Adults (19 and older) are currently eligible for full Medi-Cal coverage, regardless of immigration status.
Starting on January 1, 2026, adults who do not have Satisfactory Immigration Status (SIS) will no longer be able to enroll in full Medi-Cal. If you already have coverage, you can keep it; just make sure to renew your coverage during your renewal month.
Also starting on July 1, 2026, Medi-Cal dental benefits will no longer be available for Medi-Cal members who are 19 or older, not pregnant, and have Unsatisfactory Immigration Status. Emergency dental care (such as treatment for severe pain, infection, and pulling a tooth) will still be covered for everyone, no matter their immigration status. Children (ages 0–18) and people who are pregnant will still have dental care benefits, no matter their immigration status.
Beginning on July 1, 2027, Medi-Cal members who are ages 19 to 59, not pregnant, and undocumented or have Unsatisfactory Immigration Status and remain in full coverage Medi-Cal will be required to pay a monthly $30 premium to keep their Medi-Cal coverage.
Pregnant people and their infants are eligible for full coverage Medi-Cal during pregnancy and for one year after the birth outcome (including miscarriage or termination of the pregnancy), regardless of immigration status.

Is that graph saying 39% of native born people are in some sort of welfare? I'm assuming that's mainly medical?

If these immigrants had a lot of money they probably wouldn’t come here. Financially and otherwise we aren’t getting the best from each country

It's been primarily disability for the last 15-20 years, IIRC. Disability claims exploded around about the time the opioid epidemic kicked off.

Nobelium,

Right you are. Most people think you can just pick up a Mexican at home depo to do roofing for 5 bucks an hour......and they would just laugh at you.

If you are hiring them for a PJ (private job), they dont have to pay tax, social security, medicare/caid, etc. The employer does not have to match that or pay unemployment insurance, payroll tax, worry about frickin HR issues, or insurance.

You can pay them darn near the same wage and you and he will be saving a bunch of money, that the taxpayer ultimately picks up.

The biggest advantage is that you can fire their arse after a day if they dont work out and not have to be sued because he developed carpel tunnel syndrome after hammering nails for 8 hours.

Yup, citizens. The kids that are getting the benefits are citizens. CIS misrepresent the small amount of data collected during a covid year, 2021, so people would think that illegals are getting welfare benefits. They are not.

Don't worry, the largest demographic of welfare recipients is still white folk, 40%.

Sounds like a lot of abuse of the system
