I don’t think it will be “conservative”. If its a party of 80/20 issues like: no ME wars, no tranny’s, congressional term limits, lower national debt… I’ll be the first card carrying member.

This was tried once already. Bush Sr., Bill Clinton, Ross Perot. I didn’t like Bush so I voted Perot. All that did was get Clinton elected.

Elon's threat is a continuation of his pissing match with Trump.
In my town the TEA(taxed enough already) party was formed. A rally was held near the county courthouse. A lot of fiery speakers spoke and the crowd was fired up and then they handed the mike to the county GOP chairman(because everyone thought the GOP and the TEA party were natural allies). He came out and gave an extremely long winded boring speech and when he finished all the steam seemed to leave the crowd. The tea party became a fringe group after that.
It's one thing to talk a good game but another to actually do it. It will be an incredible amount of work for a long time, even with Elon's money.
I am all for primarying congressmen who won't address the debt, but it won't happen in one election. Most people will take a wait and see attitude. So you are talking four years from 2026 to even see if you are having success.

And you think the correct solution is to melt like a bitch and start a third party?
How has that worked in the last 150 years?
A more practical solution would be to nominate and elect better candidates in the current system. Kind of like a certain group of people have been pushing for the last 6 years or so.
We did not create $37 trillion in debt in 12 months and we are certainly not going to eliminate in 6 months.
This bill (or at least the House version) cuts $1 trillion in spending, puts permanent tax cuts in place that will fuel growth, and solidifies a secure border so it can’t be reopened in 5 years.
There are DOGE rescissions coming soon.
There is more attention on how corrupt Congress is than ever before.
You can choose to throw all of that away because you didn’t get your entire wish list in the first 6 months or you can be a fricking man and acknowledge the progress and build on it for the next round (which will be in October-December when the retards in Congress have to pass their annual spending bills/omnibus)
