Ignoring the Q people and fanatics, I think most of the Trumpers want the best for America

Working on North Korea, Iran, Tax Cuts, Healthcare, and Immigration.
I think those are all areas where there’s a good faith effort to find policy and strategy that leads to improving the country. I disagree with how the admin is executing those things, but there are real discussions to be had.
I also think outside of Sanders, Stein, et al, there is a very robust side of the left that is interested in policy and discussions of those issues.
Screaming about millionaires and billionaires or locking up Hillary or Obama don’t do us a lot of good. Not in terms of making progress on issues or in having policy discussions.
It’d be nice to get back to discussions on why this or that tax code works best; which approach to various foreign states is most efficacious.
Anyone up for trying that? Normal discussion between liberals and conservatives on the merits of policy?

Doubtful.
We can't even agree that middle class tax cuts are a good thing. Or that low unemployment is a good thing these days.
You people hate America, so screw you.

You should aim this at the #resist crowd. They are the ones that don’t want to actually discuss issues because it may give trump a win.

Wake us up when tLeft grows up and wants to have a real convo.

I'd wager most everyone in this country wants what is best for America. We just disagree on the definition of "best".

I’m always up for that.

This is what’s called the bargaining stage.
But don’t worry. Your grief is almost gone.

sounds like a loser pleading for the losing to stop.
Nope! Keep on losing

I’m fine with Trump having a win, depending on what the definition of “win” is. If it’s a win for him personally and politically that doesn’t advance American interests, I’m not a fan. If it’s a win that the country benefits from, or helps Americans, he deserves credit.
The release of the hostages is one thing all reasonable people can see as objectively good. My concern about it is that making the return of hostages in the way it was done sets a table for future hostages: Donald Trump very much wants a win on hostages. I’m concerned that it increases the value of hostages, at least to enemies.

I never wanted Keith Ellison to have any more of a role than as a duly elected congressman. I’m not interested in his opinions, I don’t care what his personal goals are, and I hope he loses to a reasonable democrat as soon as possible.

how about prosecuting and locking up criminals, is that ok with you?

I agree. But broadly, we all want everyone to have access to healthcare that’s affordable and of some degree above average quality. We want people to be able to buy that new car and invest in that new business.
It’s not as though we’re arguing from one side or another that healthcare should suck, and on the other that it should be good.
