I provided you the context for this thread which just so happens to be antithetical to your assessment of things

Your flaccid attempt to reframe the argument is noted.

I follow him on Twitter. He's always been far left, but
he's really become unhinged.
It's bizarre to watch.

recall a time not so long ago when one-half of this country came unglued after Sarah Palin’s PAC circulated a map of 20 Democrats, targeted by a campaign to reclaim Republican seats in the 2010 midterm elections. The map used crosshairs, and Gabby Giffords was one of the Dems listed.

Although Jared Loughner never even knew of Palin’s map, the Dems went nuts with their “words matter,” mantra. Giffords went so far as to say, “... they’ve [Palin] got to realize there are consequences to that action.”

It’s like we’re living in a different time now.

The guy was giving an interview and immediately owned that he chose a very poor choice of words.

I’d venture that the OP is a bigger offense than the quote itself when given wider context.

But you sure like that stupid choice of words he used.

An impeachment "bullet"? Why the hell use that word when talking about the POTUS?

I can answer my question for you but you probably already know the answer.

Because the idea of “if you come for the throne you better not miss” has been in our culture for centuries— so people speaking off the cuff say versions of it still?

He messed up and immediately owned the mistake. Isn’t that what we want people to do when they make a mistake?

Let's pretend a conservative professor was talking about impeaching Obama and said " you only have one shot to hang him". Now let's imagine the hysteria from the media and the left.

however if you think this wouldn’t have been blasted from the mountain tops when obama was in office then you’re being quite naive

Which is why this was said earlier in the thread. Can you guess who said it?

You only have one shot to hang him? Yea, that would raise some eyebrows.

He knew EXACTLY what he was saying and there is no doubt that he practiced using that metaphor beforehand, before going on-air and for shock value ... and it's gonna backfire on him on some level.

He's another Ivy League socialist and former big time Obama supporter and apologist suffering from TDS and begging for attention while hawking his latest anti-Trump, anti-deplorables book.

I honestly didn’t think he said it like that, but yeah the quote is there. Obviously leaving context out helps to misconstrue what he supposedly was talking about, but that’s dumb on his part.

For his sake, I hope he's at least 70, and can claim mental impairment, which is required of anyone who would make statement.

Eta: He's 76. Maybe he is partially impaired.

To be blunt, on this, conservatives are rank amateurs next to liberals.

Don't you think it a little harder foe conservatives to achieve this?

I mean liberals have the cooperation of everybody on tv. Kinda makes it easy for them.
