I have kids. How long are we going to hold them in check? For forever? Are they just gonna say, "you waited us out, we give up!"?

Exactly my point. At some time In the future China is going to invade Taiwan. With that understanding we need to find other places to take up manufacturing that that small island does.

TSMC has a building in Arizona that they finished I believe or it's close to finishing, but reguardless of that, if Taiwan is lost China will start inching closer and closer to USA. That is what they are doing now to countries in the S.China Sea. China attacking Taiwan would also include Japan joining Taiwan so what would USA do then? Not help Japan or Taiwan?

Micro chips would still be hard to get. We’d still buy a shite load from China. Russia would control the gas flow to Europe.

So soon people forget about our service men/women coming home in caskets. Hell...there has been more than 10X the number of people killed/injured in this Ukraine/Russian war than the US lost in both Iraq and Afghanistan and it's only been 1 year. Can you imagine what a direct war with China would look like?
