If you were in the media, could you be bought?

There is just way too much negative from the media about the GOP and MAGA for me to believe half of those folks aren't bought and paid for, which I bet most of you have thought or known for quite some time. But can money really compromise morals and values? And I wonder how much they ask to be so evil?

These media people live in a bubble. They don't want to get kicked out of that bubble.

In the case of US-based media companies spewing forth the anti-Trump BS, I think it is a case of carrot or stick.
Go along with the talking points and you are rewarded either financially or through position. Don't go along with the talking points and they will dig into you and your past to find a pressure point.
I have no doubt the 3 letter agencies have the capability to target computers of those that don't walk the line and either get intelligence that can be used against someone or plant evidence that can be used against someone.

What you have to understand is that "journalism" is no longer a career or degree path for people who want to report. It's a platform for activism, pure and simple, and these people legit feel like they are doing the "greater good".

Bingo. I remember Greenwald retweeted a pretty good self-critique of the media. Whoever the author was just said these people don't want to miss out on the cocktail party circuit. So, it's all kissing each other's arse.
I think there are probably some journalists with integrity, but if you get too close to an uncomfortable truth, the story gets spiked. See what happened to one of the Epstein reporters. The other problem is that at the national level, the media has really become an arm of the intelligence agencies. They don't even hide Operation Mockingbird anymore.
