Just look at what’s happening in Canada and Western Europe. Freedoms ARE being taken away. Agenda 2030 is progressing. The Forbes article is coming to fruition- “You will own nothing and be happy.”

So I'm gonna first tell you to chill out with the punctuation. It makes you look bonkers.
A government is for the people and by the people. Your local government should be made up of those you've elected. If not, and they are corrupt, you should have no issue standing up against them. Rise up unless you are a coward.
You've made it clear that you think the government is out to get you and that you're defeated. That's a sad way to live.

California just passed a driving tax to the tune of up to $1350 per month for 20 years if you drive and own a home.
That IS the government out to get you, tax you into submission, force you to live how they want you to.

No it’s fricking not.
It’s the government enacting policy to try to get people off of the road because the roads are a nightmare.
It’s psychotic to think the government cares about what you as an individual are doing. They don’t know you exist.
The roads are fricking clogged. People are wasting their lives in traffic because we’ve built a society based on around cars for a population in the 50s and 60s that was less than half of what it is now.
I know this is disappointing, but the roadways in urban areas in this country cannot handle everyone driving. They just can’t. This has nothing to do with being where “they” want you and everything to do with decreasing congestion. People are spending years of their life in traffic over their working life. Years gone. Because of individual insecurity. That shite stops now.

Like I said, it’s the government taxing you into submission and forcing you to go the way they want you to go. It’s all about control.
I guess you could always use the high speed train that Gavin built.
Oh wait…

For two, LA saw congestion decrease
Because Cali is losing population due to leftist rulers ruining everything. Additionally we exported a lot of illegals.
There’s your decrease it has nothing to do with anything Cali is doing except being a shithole.

I don’t know the details of this and I’m definitely not taking a random tweet at face value, but yeah single family homes especially in California need to be discouraged and multi-family housing needs to be encouraged. The only way to bring down is volume. Density should be encouraged for a variety of reasons as well as doing away with lots of zoning restrictions and building out more public transportation.

Do you live in L. A.?
It’s really not as simple as, just move closer to work. My sister has a 65 mile round trip commute. My BIL owns his own business and travels all over LA, OC, and even Ventura counties.
The house is free and clear with no mortgage. If they sold their house, they still wouldn’t be able to buy anything else mortgage free. Plus the increase in property taxes would be ridiculous.
My niece is homeschooled so school isn’t an issue. Public transportation out here is a freaking joke. It isn’t convenient and it isn’t reliable. If you take the train in from the suburbs, at least once a month trains don’t run due to “bodies on the tracks”.
It’s so much easier and more convenient to be mobile and commute than try to move closer to your job.
FYI, this is a Steve Hilton household. Can’t wait to vote for him.

Multi- family housing? How may families live with you? Are you willing to take in another family or two as roommates?
Besides, Once we deport all the illegals there, there should be plenty of room for citizens.

he can start with his own, no intervention necessary

In 2011 there were 502K births in Cali. Of those 72K were to illegal mothers on medi cal.
That was 2011 goodness knows what the number is now.
Perhaps if they removed the sanctuary status and helped enforce immigration laws it would literally take millions of cars off the road.
Nah lets pass another tax on the citizens.
